Hi, my name is Kelly, and I'm a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner serving clients in Ohio. I specialize in anxiety, maternal mental health/pre/postpartum, depression, women’s issues, men’s issues, LGBTQIA+, gender, & sexuality topics, insomnia & sleep issues, anger management/impulse disorder, chronic illness, burnout, PTSD/trauma, relationship issues, life coaching, life transitions, loss, grief, and bereavement, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), race & cultural identity, religion & spirituality, sexual health & dysfunction, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), sleep disorders, binge eating disorder, bipolar disorder, and stress management. I’ve been in nursing for over 15 years and completed my master’s and psychiatric training at Wayne State University. I’m passionate about destigmatizing mental healthcare, and together with my colleagues at Lavender Psychiatry, I’m on a mission to create a world where feelings are felt, respected, and cared for.

My therapeutic style …is characterized by warmth, engagement, and a genuine personal connection. I believe in establishing a strong, collaborative relationship with each client, where we work together to make informed decisions about their treatment. I chose to be a psych NP because I cannot imagine doing anything else in my life except for helping those who are finding their way and their voice. I always wanted a career in nursing and in healthcare due to my desire and passion of wanting to help those who need it the most.

I have worked with a wide range of clients, including students, parents, professionals from various fields, skilled tradespeople, service industry workers, retail employees, entrepreneurs, artists, and technology experts. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space where each individual feels heard, understood, and empowered to achieve their therapeutic goals. Starting treatment can be a scary and intimidating process, and I’ve successfully treated many people who are new to psychiatric care.
