Summary
I loved my time as a registered nurse in the emergency room and neurological intensive care unit, but it also pointed out to me a societal need. Because of my ER and ICU experience, I chose to focus on patient education and preventive care to try to prevent hospitalizations. \n This passion compelled me to return to school, where I became a nurse practitioner. \n As you might expect based on my background, I am highly focused on preventive care. My primary goal is to help patients live long and healthy lives by intervening early and making sure they stay up to date on their screening exams. \n I enjoy traveling with my husband and spending weekends with him and our two golden retrievers. I am an avid reader and believe the best place to read a book is by the beach.
