Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I was confident that I wanted to be a nurse early in life. My whole nursing career has been focused on taking care of patients with primarily cardiac related issues. I had the opportunity to advance myself and expand my reach to positively impact more patients by becoming a certified registered nurse practitioner. I believe that as a nurse practitioner, I have the unique ability to help patients understand their chronic illness better.What I want my patients to know about me:I am an active listener with an easy-going personality. My goal is to provide an environment where my patients feel comfortable asking questions and are involved in making their own healthcare decisions. I build strong relationships with my patients, and I will always treat them like they are a part of my family.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I am a Lancaster County girl, born and raised. I adore spending time with my husband, family, and friends in my free …time. I have two pets; a lovely little cat named Opal and an energetic pup named Ruby. My interests outside of work include running, cycling, baking, exploring new restaurants, and sampling craft beer.
