Warm welcome!

I am a postdoctoral psychologist experienced in individual, group, and couples psychotherapy with adults across their lifespan. I have worked with people facing depression and mood disorders, anxiety, trauma and its aftermath, grief and loss, work, family, intimate relationship conflicts, and stress in its various forms and manifestations, including substance use and misuse and other behavioral challenges. I work with people from all backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, races, genders, sexualities, and abilities along the full spectrum of our diverse and intersecting identities that form humanity's tapestry.

I am committed to creating a therapeutic space that is welcoming, warm, authentic, supportive, and caring - and, at times, appropriately challenging. I strive to understand the struggles you may be experiencing in the context of your unique identities and the communities in which you live. I work hard to come to know your world and what might help you understand, heal, recover, grow, and learn more adaptive coping skills that can lead to a more fulfilling life that is your own, shared with those you value and who support you.

I work from an integrative lens, with training and experience in various evidence-based practices, including acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I will work with you to identify your therapeutic goals to facilitate those changes that are your priority. I am intentional about connecting and understanding how psychotherapy and evidence-based care practices can best serve facets of your intersecting identities. I also value a strong working relationship as a core part of our work. I will listen to you and your feedback, recognize your strengths and vulnerabilities, and support you according to your goals, values, and dreams. I hope to propel you toward a more full, authentic, fulfilling, and less encumbered (by symptoms) life.

I earned my doctoral degree from Palo Alto University. I trained at various community mental health settings and Denver Health Medical Center. I’ve worked on substance use, longstanding and acute psychiatric illnesses, and forensic populations. I am well prepared for challenges that we can take on together.

We integrate contemporary psychoanalytic approaches to treatment with evidence-based best practices. Our clinicians meet regularly in consultation to ensure that you are receiving optimal care,

Our culturally competent staff welcomes members of all communities to our practice.  We strive to create an open, supportive and safe space no matter your race, religion, abilities, background, immigration status, gender expression, or sexuality.

Our Services

Psychotherapy

We provide individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy depending on your needs.  We can combine psychotherapies to address the complexities of the issues you bring to treatment.  Like all mental health services, Psychotherapy is best done through a warm, trusting and empathic relationship with a professional who is well trained to address your needs.. Psychotherapy can offer insight, new skills and perspectives, validation and support, as well as challenges to entrenched patterns of behavior and internalized messages that may have once been adaptive but may now have become self-defeating and limiting - most importantly psychotherapy primarily relies on a healing relationship to a clinician who hears you, supports you, and encourages you to  take risks and grow into  your best self - one that is more authentic, more fully alive to yourself and others.

Psychiatry

Our psychiatrists are available for medication management as a stand alone service, and they also work collaboratively with our psychotherapists as part of the same team, sharing information and communicating easily to provide the best possible care. This coordinated approach combines psychotherapy and medication to effectively address emotional regulation, symptom relief and neuroplasticity, all contributing to positive change and overall well-being.

Psychological and Neuropsychological Assessment

Testing and Assessment Services are available for infants (2.5 yrs and above), children, adults, and seniors.  By working with you to develop individualized and tailored assessment plans, our experts in assessment services, mostly psychologists, can help you understand both your unique strengths and challenges to better focus care, and help you obtain appropriate services and accommodations on your road to success. Some of the most common assessments we offer include those for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, academic and learning disabilities, memory, personality assessment and IQ testing.

Money Matters

At Bryant West Psychology, we recognize that money is often deeply entwined with emotional issues around power, control, value and worth, among others. Given that fact, we encourage you to discuss issues of fee, missed appointment charges and the like directly with your therapist. We  are transparent about our fees and we accept all insurances (except Medicare and Medicaid).  Our Psychotherapy and Psychiatric services are in network for most Aetna plans, as well as Columbia, NYU, Fordham, and New School Student Health Plans.  Most of our Assessment Services are billed out-of-network. Whether you have insurance or not, we will work with you to set a fee that meets your financial needs as well as our own. If we are not able to do that we will suggest alternative treatment in the community.

I am eager to support you in your healing journey. Please feel free to contact me and schedule an initial session.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
