Dr. Sheila Shaigany, MD

I went to Dr. Shaigany for an annual exam for moles. She could a mole that she wanted to re-examine in 3 months. I was going to get a cyst removed from my head 3 months later so she said she’d check my mole then. When i went back, she didn’t want to check it then (even though I asked her to) and said she’d check it when I come back in 2 weeks to get my stitches removed. When you have a procedure that requires a follow up, like having stitches removed, you are not supposed to be charged for an office visit (with copay). However, since she took 2 seconds to look at my mole, she charged my insurance company hundreds of dollars for an office visit and I had to pay another co-pay. I have been trying to speak with an office manager for 6 weeks about this, and they NEVER call back. I have spoken to the business office several times, and they are dismayed that the office does not call me back. They are so rude at the front desk, and clearly office management is incompetent and unprofessional.… I filed a complaint with my insurance company but there isn’t much they can do. The doctor’s services were okay but the charging of another office visit because she was either too lazy to look at my mole or wanted to get another office fee, is unacceptable. There’s no way I’d ever go back to this practice.
