Dr. Aaron K. Calodney, MD

In my experience the last 2 years I have seen doctor Calodney once or maybe twice. His people skills in my opinion are poor I've had procedures in the last 20 years many times in my experience with Dr Calodney have been poor and very painful when he performs procedures on my back. I have been going to pain doctors in Lubbock Texas for over 40 years. And have never been disappointed with the few doctors that I have had over those years.

I have been going to Dr kolodny for 2 years and during that time I have only seen him once. I think he has very poor people skills. I've had two procedures and he has never come over to talk to me about the procedure when I go in there they knocked me out even before I can even talk to the doctor. After 2 years I decided to find someone else because I feel like he really doesn't care with his patience.

Dr. Calodney is exceptionally talented and a great physician.

I have major knee issues. Dr Calodney was so helpful in treating me with stem cell procedure and pain management. One of the best doctors I have ever met.

Worst experience of my life! I waited over 2 hours to see Dr. Calodney and then saw him for less than 10 minutes. He was more concerned with talking to his scribe then talking to me. 3/4th of the time it was him talking to his scribe. He would not allow me to shut the door. It was stuffy but everyone could hear my business. He was rude, spoke over me, interrupted me, was mono tone the entire time, and did not seem to care at all. I have been in pain management over 3 years and moved here recently, only reason I came to this office. He told me that they do not prescribe pain medication there, that is not what they do there. Yet I had to pay for a urine test. Then I tried to explain to him that I have been on medication for over 3 years and could he at least give me withdrawal medication. It took me 5 times before he left me even finish my sentence. Then he proceeded to tell me withdrawal medicine I don't know what that is. Really??? Give me a break all doctors know what it is!!! Thank… goodness for the doctor I transferred from who helped me get withdrawal medicine. They seriously thought this guy was in the wrong for what he did! He did not give one thought or concern for me and what I would be going through. He decided I did not have the condition two neurologist have said I have plus other specialists I have seen, all before even looking at my past doctor notes and imaging that was fax to them and put in my file. Yet he could do the same blocks I was getting at my last pain management doctor. Although. he doesn't think I have the condition so why approve the blocks makes no sense! No thanks on the blocks. If this is how you treat your patients I don't want to be your patient. I called and spoke to someone about my appointment and was treated once again without any care or concern about how I was treated in my appointment. I have never been treated so badly before! I will definitely let everyone I know so they will not be treated as if they do not matter.

I have several problems in my back and legs and he seem to have compassion to begin with, but the longer I stayed with him the worst his attitude got. He knows it all and you can't tell him any different. I finally figured out all he was after was all the money he could get out of me and my insurance company. He doesn't really care if you are helped are not as long as he can milk you dry. I have quit him and will not be back.

I have been dr calodney patient for years. I have gone through many staff changes but when I find out that I do not have an appointment on day and time that I was given the card. sorry we don't have an appointment available does not cut it. how did I magically get the card? aliens? I have lack of confidence now in these people.

Rude / condescending at 1st office visit. Gave him benefit of doubt & agreed to proceed w/ steroid injs which did not give me much relief. I tried scheduling follow up appt with him to discuss other treatment options but his office has yet to call me back. I've called every week since November. His office haven't had problems going to bank to deposit my payments but apparently no time to call me back .

Came in with Low back pain. I had surgery back in 1980s which worked well up until recently. Calodney talked me into a spinal cord trial m - trial went alright and was scheduled for implant of a battery a few weeks later. During trial phase my pain went from 8-9/10 to 6-7/10. Definitely improved my pain but only a little bit. I was reluctant therfore to do the second phase where he puts a permanent battery in you. It's not that the trial didn't give me relief it's just that the relief was minimal and so I asked callodney abt trying something else before implanting. To make a long story short, the Doctor raised his voice at me told me I'm uneducated abt medicine and stormed out of the room. Very unprofessional and very strange - it's not that I was telling him how to do his job it's just that I don't want something implanted into my spine if it only gives me a lil relief. I'm going to ask my family doctor to send me somewhere else since dr callodney won't see me "until (I) do… implant." Basically, he is a very pushy doc and he needs to listen more to his patients.

This Dr was very critical of my insurance, which I have no control over. Office visits are extremely long. 2-2 1/2 hours. What happened to Hippocratic Oath physicians take? Very disappointed in our healthcare system, in general.
