This was my best doctor for years-- until he made it clear he doesn't like working with trans people. I wasn't seeking gender affirming care when I approached him about an issue, but he mistook it as such and made clear that he doesn't accept working with trans people such as myself. He also called me (on a line that I have reason to believe was not recorded) to attempted to manipulate me, then accused me of being abusive to him when his anti-trans attitudes were respectfully challenged. When pushed, he admitted he was unwilling to change his attitude toward trans people and our healthcare. Based on his strong anti-trans statements and behavior during our interactions, I cannot recommend strongly enough that trans people avoid his care, regardless of what treatment you're seeking him out for. I have seen Dr. Chidakel a few times for help with managing my diabetes. He is always thorough and highly professional. He really wants to get to know me as a person, rather than just seeing me as a set of numbers. While he seems to be quite knowledgeable about his field, and medicine in general, what really sets him aside from his peers is his amazing bedside manner and kind demeanor. I highly recommend.

I have been dealing with a thyroid problem for 12 years... so I've had my fair share of blood tests, learning curves, meds, doctors. At this point, I know what a knowledgeable doctor would do with my case. When we met, this doctor proceeded to put me on a dose too high for my body, forcing my endocrine system in an opposite direction but not solving the problem, and creating new symptoms. When I asked for assistance with my metabolism he answered that prescribed Speed is basically the only answer. Save yourself the trouble.. I'm currently looking for a new doctor.

Aaron R Chidakel is a very good doctor. He listens to your health concerns and addresses what you can do with your medical worries. He’s very kind and professional. I appreciate his help. Thank you.

I have been seeing Dr. Chidakel for my diabetes for the past several months. I have found him to be very warm and caring and also extremely knowledgeable about his field. He always takes the time to explain everything to me in detail. Unlike other doctors I have seen in the past, he seems to take great interest in getting to know me as a person, rather than just seeing me as a series of lab results and medications. I have already recommended him to a number of my friends.

Dr. Chidakel is amazing! I have been to numerous doctors in Manhattan and just went to Dr. Chidakel 3 months ago. He was spot on with diagnosis, knew which meds to prescribe and resolved an ongoing issue for a few years. His fast approach to rule out what it may or not be is awesome. He a sporty happy kind of fellow but his enthusiasm to be of service to his patients doesn't preclude him from listening to your concerns and worries. He is fantastic hands down excellent tactician and caring doctor. I strongly recommended him to my friends and family.

Bottom line......this guy SUCKS.

This is the worst doctor on the planet. He gets your samples and lab results and then tells you he doesn't know what to tell you. sent me a message via portal saying come in and we will discuss a strategy since I have your lab results and once I get there he says "I don't know what to tell you" and does not even look at the current health issue. then goes on to say I don't really deal with your sort of problem. my question is why didn't he say that during the first visit. meanwhile he gets paid by the insurance company to do nothing. no referral no advice just ran out the door to the next "victim" oh I mean patient. In my opinion he is a total waste of space and totally missed the point of being a doctor. stay away from him unless you want to throw away money, time, and your health.

I have seen Dr. C a few times for my diabetes. He always takes the time to answer all of my questions, no matter how big or small they may seem. He is very knowledgeable and excited about his field and seems like he really cares about his patients.

Now one week since lab released results of test to Dr. When I called the office they first told results were not in, when I challenged that answer they suddenly found report and told me to call the Doctor who took the samples. This office is clueless to protocol for communicating with patients. I work in healthcare and I suggest finding another Endocrinologist.
