Dr. Aaron Harlan Fink, MD

I took the time to fill out his extensive questionnaire which he obviously did not read as he asked me the same questions and appeared not to remember any information I had given. He was dismissive and put me on a medication regimen which made my condition much worse. Had he asked some key questions that could have been avoided. I am sorry I went to him and strongly encourage people to NOT use him.

Wonderful, smart, VERY EDUCATED doctor. I highly trust his option and he found a great combination of medication for me. I would recommend him to everyone I know.

I saw Dr. Fink from the ages of 7 to my late teens. He did not listen to me at all and prescribed me medication for a decade that actually worsened my condition and has left me with much worse mental health, triggering rapid cycling bipolar which is very hard to manage. Dr.Fink also was inappropriate with my mother who has multiple personality disorders and was/is an active addict/alcoholic. She would flirt and manipulate him every session and he always bit. Go see someone who isn't so negligent and self absorbed, please.

dsm is bible to him, don't expect someone to go out of their ways to listen or validate your concerns if you don't fit an easily diagnosable picture. My only regret is wasting so much of my hard earned money on him.

I have been seeing Dr. Fink for several years, mainly for medication management. I am very pleased with my treatment and medication management. I am confident in Dr. Fink’s choices on medication for my treatment. He keeps well informed of new medications, medication/treatment studies and effects of drug interactions. He listens to my answers to his questions, and to any concerns I have. If he needs to change my medication or dosage, he keeps a close watch to be sure the adjustments are working correctly for me. I go to Dr. Fink because of his medical expertise and knowledge on treatments for people like me. I don’t go to an appointment to feel warm and fuzzy, I go because I know I will get the best treatment I need. I appreciate his professionalism and candidness on my progress and expectations. My children were also treated by Dr. Fink when they lived in Houston. The staff is not overly friendly, but I have never had an issue with them, I have been charged for… missed appointments, but that is clearly spelled out in the beginning, so I knew what the consequences were. I did have an issue once on a missed appointment charge that I felt was a bit mishandled. That’s my only complaint. But these items are inconsequential compared to the care and treatment I receive.

After filling out all his paperwork ( that he apparently never looks at because he keeps asking the same questions at each visit) , I was optimistic about receiving help for my anxiety. On the first visit I left his office practically in tears, thinking that this was not the way that I should be feeling after seeing a psychiatrist. He was arrogant, rude, belittling, and totally disinterested in my wellbeing. Foolishly, I returned several more times and nothing changed. I have found another doctor who cares about me and I am doing well. Please do not settle for this guy!

If you're on this site and are still considering giving this guy your money you must really be insane. Sure he has the physical ability to read a checklist and write a script, anything past that such as his group therapy don't even bother he said it would be a group of 5-8 kids but most of the time it was one other kid different each time. He was really awkward and there would be moments where it would be silent for long periods of time. Also he said that "it didn't matter if I showed or not my money would go towards his closet" that's all that sums up my experience with him. So once you sign up you owe him $700 and it doesn't matter if you call weeks in advance you still have to pay. He has a disgusting attitude and I'm pretty sure he'll be out of business soon.

I received a bill for an appointment I did not make. I called the office on several occasions to discussed that that appointment was never made by me. I spoke to the chief financial officer of the office where she told me I had to pay, which I did. But this is outright robbery and fraud. By the way, when I had a problem and called for help all he said was go to the hospital. Not exactly superior care.

This doctor only care about money. We tried to reschedule an appointment because my son had strep. He refused to reschedule and charged us for the missed appointment. He also failed to follow up knowing my son had no refills and should not stop his medication abruptly. He is cold and his staff is extremely rude.

This provider was recommended to me, but I wish I hadn't gone. I went back several times to try and get past my first impression, but having not seen a psychiatrist, I didn't know what to expect. Having seen another provider now, Dr. Fink is unfeeling and not empathetic at all, very challenging to talk to, and his diagnosis was incorrect. I called 22 hours prior to an appointment to cancel an appointment due to a last minute emergency, and he wouldn't make an exception to his 24 hour cancellation policy. His exact words? "I shouldn't be penalized for your misfortune." Please do yourself a favor, and see someone else.
