Dr. Aaron Hoffman

I do not recommend Buffalo General Bariatric.

Dr. Hoffman is amazing! He has a fantastic bedside manner and is an extremely caring and proficient surgeon. He even gave me the VIP treatment when I was at the hospital and personally wheeled my gurney up to surgery! I visited the Buffalo General Medical Center as an emergency patient with what was believed to be an incarcerated hernia. However, during emergency laparoscopic investigation, Dr. Hoffman determined that my severe pain was actually due to a rare inguinal cyst masquerading as a hernia. Thankfully, he immediately switched gears and masterfully removed the lesion intact for the pathologists to investigate (thankfully, no cancer). Do yourself a favor and trust this surgeon with your surgical and other related healthcare needs! Dr. Hoffman was recommended to me by my Primary Care Physician as who he considered the best surgeon in the area. I needed my gallbladder out pretty quickly as it was hyperactive and I was very sick. He was very kind and attentive and made sure that I understood what was happening and what to expect every step of the way. He and his staff in the OR were extremely reassuring and I am healing nicely from my surgery and will have very minimal scarring. I would highly recommend Dr. Hoffman as a surgeon to anyone.

Dr Hoffman is amazing! He is a very friendly and caring doctor with a wonderful bedside manner! I would recommend him to anyone, anytime. As for his staff, it is a crap shoot. About half of them are very nice, friendly and helpful...as for the other half, they are rude, talk down to you and act as if they have better things to do then deal with you. I am not a second class citizen and do not appreciate being treated as such.

He is one of the BEST doctors in the facility.

His office secretary was the rudest person I ever met. Very unprofessional. She was talking about me behind my back and I wasn't supposed to hear her but I did. I was so humiliated by what she said I broke out crying. She blamed the incident on having a bad day. I don't care how much of a bad day you're having you never talk about another patient behind their back particularly when there to get help. If this is the way his office staff works I feel sorry for any other patient that goes there. I hope this really embarrassing situation gets resolved because no one needs to go through what I went through at his office today.
