Dr. Aaron Adam Hofmann, MD

In 2010 I went to Dr. Hoffman for a knee replacement but he said "oh, you don't need your knee replaced - you just need to have your kneecap re-surfaced." I have suffered with great pain for 12 years with pain in my kneecap. I have researched the web and other sources that state kneecaps should not be resurfaced. Dr. Hoffman also replaced my right hip and I have had pain and problems with it for the past 11 years. I would not ever recommend Dr. Hoffman to do surgery on anyone.

I had a hip replacement in 2018 and I kept going in to see Dr. Hofmann for my post ops and check ups and told him something wasn't right. I could not lift my right foot off of the ground. I was in constant pain everyday. The pain was actually worse than before the hip replacement. His response was ALWAYS you are just impatient you need to give it more time! 8 months later I seek an opinion from another physician that actually listened to me and found that the implant was totally loose. Needless to say I had a hip replacement and within 8 months I was having a revision. Dr. Hofmann does NOT listen to his patients. He thinks he can do no wrong. I know he has had many successful surgeries but you can not let your ego get in the way of your judgement when it comes to the care of your patient and that is exactly what he did to me. I trusted him and he has ruined my life. I will never run again and I will never get the full strength back in my leg from this procedure. I wish I would have… never met Dr. Hofmann

Dr. Hofmann replaces my left knee several years ago and it was the best decision I made. He was very professional and yet had a great bedside manner. I actually had a great experience with my surgery and will have him fix my other knee when it’s time. He has also replaced several of my friends knees and they have had the same experience as I had. Not much pain and up and walking in no time. He knows his stuff, believe me! I’ve done extensivel research on surgeons and chose him because he had the criteria I was looking for.

I never had a Doctor and his staff treat me like I was someone extra special. I had my Hip operated on quit a while ago by Dr Hofmann and have not had any problems. I have windsurfed for a profession ,golfed, and Snow skied. I don't ski like I use to but Im still enjoying myself. Thank You Dr Hofmann.

In my opinion he cut a nerve in my leg during surgery resulting in me being unable to drive or even lift my leg without putting my hands under the leg and lifting

computer aided surgery on my knee restored it to better than new. after 30 yrs of deterioration , 3 surgerys, and massive daily pain , my total knee replacement recovered better and faster than anyone else, ever. 160 degree plus bending. xrays showed zero error on placement and alignment. 6 yrs later I run climb, ski and jump anything with impunity(72 yr old now). This Dr pioneered and taught this procedure at university. Experience, skill, brains and results 'at the top' = my total best recommendation for slc/ut orthopedics.

Dr Hofmann resurfaced my knee cap when he should replaced my total knee.

Not at all happy with the result eight months later cannot lift leg more than a couple of inches off the floor as a result, cannot drive or do many other activities in my opinion a nerve or tendon was cut or damaged

I can't say enough good about my experiences with Dr. Hofmann. He did my second hip replacement and redid my first (which was done incorrectly by another Physician.) My recovery time was amazing. I have highly recommended him to several people. His staff was so pleasant and helpful and his PA was a joy to work with. All my questions were answered and needs were met. PLEASE take my advice and consider Dr. Hofmann and his group if you want a successful replacement experience.
