Dr. Aaron D Kauhane, DO

Our whole family is so disappointed he left Straub but completely understand as HPH has been going downhill fast. He is now @ a urgent care clinic with several locations, wish he went into bring a concierge doctor.

Dr Kauhane was always caring. He always took the time to listen to you. You would never have to feel like you were being rushed or feel uncomfortable with him. He showed he cared about any concerns or illness that you had. He didn’t treat you like an object but a person. I truly miss having Dr Kauhane as my Doctor. He was one of the best Doctors I have come across. I wish him the best of luck as he moves on to new challenges.

He took the time to listen to me and was very personable. I met him at the urgent care and they were fast and efficient. I appreciate his approach to treating my symptoms and seemed to care about follow up appointments.

Waited such a long time before Dr. came into room and after explaining about the flu swab results. Staff at Urgent Care Kaakaako was also a extremely slow. Whole visit at Urgent Care was 1 1/2 hours. Too long when you aren't feeling well! Not many patients in the waiting room as it was a weekday.

He takes time to listen to you without you feeling rushed.

Excellent doctor with great bedside manners. Patient oriented, takes time with patients listening to their needs. Highly recommended.

Dr. Kauhane had been our family physician for over 8 years at Straub and he has always treated us with dignity and respect. He is very knowledgable and incredibly compassionate. I have ways referred friends and family members to him. After all these years he still takes the time to ask about our family. He follows up with an email explaining the purpose of our visit. Been very fortunate to have such a caring doctor - it's a shame that we are moving to the mainland.

whenever i make an appointment. I waited one hour after my appointment to be seen. i look around me and there hardly any patients in the office and it takes that long? what the sense of making an appointment if doctor cannot see you within 20 minutes. i minus well just walk in and maybe i get seen faster. the staff are great, it's the dr that needs to get his act in order. i am now going to see another doctor. I am giving this doctor a bad review and I will also contact department of commerce and better business bureau so that he would treat his patients a lot more respectful.

Aaron Kauhane is a poor physician.

He is consistently late, even if you are the 1st patient of the day. Waiting 30-90 minutes should be seen as normal for this doctor. I once waited 2 hours for my 8:30 appointment as was extremely late for work. I found out from a friend while I was sitting in his waiting area that he was seen at zippys eating breakfast. He also failed to complete my refferal paperwork, so the next doctor had no idea who I was and why I was calling.
