Dr. Aaron Len Marquardt, MD

This Dr. has the worst bedside manner I've ever encountered. He did not take the time to get to know my case and was not interested in asking me any questions to try to get to know what was going on. I was admitted to the hospital with colitis and C diff bacterial infection. I had been taking a diet medication that unbeknown to me contained amphetamines and caused damage to my bowels. This product by the way was marketed as safe and all natural. I didn't report using this because I took it very sporadically over several months and did not consider it a daily medication. I had also taken a lortab that had been prescribed to me after a dental procedure and had every right to take it as I was in an extreme amount of pain and I had the prescription. Dr. Marquardt took one look at my drug screen and decided I was a drug addict and implied so much to me in front of my nurse and my father. All he had to do was ask me some questions as my next Dr. did (I had to request another Dr. after… being treated so poorly.) My GI Dr. also thankfully had the decency to ask further questions as well and as it turns out, this diet supplement has been responsible for many others with the same problem I had. I am a elementary special education teacher who is working full time and earning my Masters degree at the same time. I have never used drugs nor will I ever. For any Dr. to form an opinion without investigating and to accuse a patient of being a drug user is absolutely unacceptable.
