Dr. Aaron C Maxwell, MD

Dr. Maxwell, a brain in a head, lacks bedside manners and compassion. He’s rude, judgmental, and preachy. For instance, he dismissed my heriditary genetic disorder as a soul sickness. Every appointment is dominated by complaints about filling out insurance forms, neglecting my issues. Disappointing.

Dr. Maxwell seems more stressed since Covid-19 and quite short with patients. I would stay away until he cools off.

I felt like this visit was something out of the TWILIGHT Zone.  I kept thinking is this guy for real?   I certainly did not expect a Dr of medicine to reflect the craziness of our current existence.   I expected the Dr. to approach me with respect, ask me questions about my health concerns (which we never got to) and have a plan of action moving forward.   But instead, he felt a need to push his opinions/assumptions on me, which were shaded with "data" --

Dr. Maxwell offered a wealth of evidence-based information and pragmatic preventative care recommendations during my initial visit with him. I also found is bedside manner to be refreshingly candid and humanistic. I will most certainly be going back for future annual examinations, and would gladly refer him to a friend.

Dr Maxwell is very kind, knowledgeable and a good listener. My husband and I saw him for the first time and we were very impressed. We are senior citizens and we would highly recommend him for any age, but he is wonderful with the older patient

I'm glad I was able to find a doctor in Austin who really cares and who I feel I can trust. He always follows up to ask about past symptoms/issues and is not dismissive of anything new. I know that if something is going wrong with me, I can trust him to know what to do and he will do it.

I was hoping to find a doctor who knew about medication because I take a lot. He seems very knowledgeable and even a little about some of mine interacting. Nothing is more important ta me about a doctor than knowledge of the meds I take.

Initially, great bedside manner, knowledgeable and professional. It abruptly came to a stop when he looked at my chart and stated “ 85 years old, that’s when things start going down hill, oops I shouldn’t have said that”. Maybe that’s ok, but I’ll let you make that decision.

I have full ingrowth, lost hip 14 yrs ago staff infection, cured the infection first then qualified for prosthethesis got have had revision after 10 yrs.
