Dr. Aaron Michael Peterson, DO

l've been a patient at Village Psychiatry for 5+ years and would never leave. Dr. Peterson genuinely listens and he's brilliant with titration and polypharmacology to limit potential side effects. He avoids overprescribing by advocating for reasonable lifestyle changes in addition to medications. His current office staff is very professional and it's always easy to make an appointment. Gracie and Angelica are particularly professional and kind. Lucy, their Nurse Practitioner is knowledgeable and compassionate. They truly want the best for their patients and strive for excellent, comprehensive care.

He listens to you and takes what you say into account and doesn’t project his own biases into you.. he is extremely intelligent and also wants to find a solution for you. He cares about his patients. I used to see Dr. love and I never thought I’d find someone else .. but Dr. Peterson is Amazing.

I have seen Dr. Peterson for about 5 years, I hate the fact that if i have to reschedule I have to wait about a month or so. He is always booked. He listens to me, when I go and see him. The only thing that I dont like is that he likes to change medicines and strengths all the time. I feel like he experiments with medicines and patients. I go see him soon and he will not like what i will say because I would like to be off my medicine. I really dont think i need it. He diagnosed my daughter with ADHD, I know my daughter and I know for a fact that she does not have that. And of course he prescribed her medicine. He also prescribed my son 2 types of medicines which he doesnt need. My kids and I went through domestic violence, and that doesnt mean that we all need to be medicated.

Dr. Peterson is an exceptional doctor however has surrounded himself with an office staff that is below par. His Office Manager actually hangs up on patients and is argumentative. The front office complains to the patients that she is an issue for many of the patients. Be cautious in scheduling with this doctor as your time with him is limited and the interaction with the manager is not worth it. Even the pharmacy involved said this office is a mess after dealing with incorrectly written prescriptions 4 months in a row.
