After going to another psychiatrist in his office for many years, Dr. Pearce saw my son after he was hospitalized and started seeing him on a routine basis when he was hospitalized. He is much more courteous and caring. When my son was going to the old psychiatrist, I had just got through telling his old psychiatrist a few months before he was hospitalized how my son was depressed. He asked my son and my son said no. Of course he said no, he was embarrassed. I told the doctor he was, that he had said things to me. Instead my son told him he wanted to be off Prozac, so he said, after listening to my son, he would take him off. A few months later, his dad and I found notes saying how he no longer wanted to live. There were other things, but this is the main one. Moms know their kids and when they specifically tell you something and then you tell the doctor and they don't listen to you, it's frustrating.
