There is a thin line that separates rational from irrational. I know because I crossed that line once in my life. One night in crisis I called my therapist and she called Dr. Reliford because in her opinion my behavior showed that I posed a threat to myself. Dr. Reliford immediately called me and stayed on the phone with me until I arrived at the home of a trusted friend. He spoke to my friend and between the two of them I was convinced I had to go to Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital. This was the most frightening ordeal I ever experienced in my life and if not for Dr. Reliford I might not be here today to give this testimonial. He pays attention to details and effectively assesses the need to modify and/or change medication. He demonstrates concern and makes you to feel comfortable discussing difficult experiences and sensitive information. He is pleasant to speak with and astute in his diagnosis.
