I recently had right rotator cuff surgery by Dr. Schacter. First of all let me state that I would highly recommend him. He is very professional, knowledgeable and innovative. His confidence in his skills makes you lose all trepidation you may have had prior to surgery. He is direct with his diagnosis and discusses in great detail what the outcome may be. I so appreciate his kind manner and attentiveness. He's the doc to see!

Dr. Schachter did not spend any quality time with me. Did not seem interested in my past medical history. Office was busy and he seemed to just want to get me in and then out. Was very unimpressed. I left the office with Zero direction. I would NOT reccomend him to anyone!

Dr. Schachter was very caring. He listened to my complaints and explained the course of treatment. He seemed very current on treatment options for my problem.

I am very happy to have found Dr. Schachter who is a very smart, very focused young doctor. He is very calm which helped me be a little less hyper (and less worried). He is a good listener which is rare in today's medical world! Office took x-rays (on-site), Dr. did a comprehensive exam and answered all my questions. While I do not need to do anything currently, I am happy that Dr. Schachter has my file/x-rays because he is definitely the doctor I would go to for future knee/orthopedic issues! His office staff is professional and friendly and I only had to wait a few minutes before I was seen. All in all an A++ experience.

I can't give enough praise to Dr. Schachter. After seeing another orthopedic, who misdiagnosed me, which put off the care that I needed by months, Dr. Schachter was a blessing. He knew right away what my problem was. He is young, yes. But I've found a lot of older orthopedics are very set in their ways, which is why I was misdiagnosed by my previous doctor. My problem was one that needed a surgery that is very specialized and rare (though it is becoming more common). He had the experience I needed, where most doctors who haven't been to school in decades wouldn't have. He's always treated me with kindness, care and respect. He's always made me feel like a person, not just a "patient". He's been integral to my healing, and always making sure my fears post-surgery are alleviated. He took every precaution with my surgery and the staff at the hospital and my physical therapist have commended him on his thorough approach. He is very honest and down to earth. If you need an orthopedic… doctor, I highly recommend him.
