My daughter was admitted to St. Vincent ICU Pediatric unit. Once she was transferred to the regular Pediatric unit Dr. Scholer was her doctor. He was wonderful! Took his time at her hospital bed, explained everything and even instructed on things to look for in the future. My husband and I absolutely loved him and feel very confident in his advice. My son is 5 1/2 months old. Dr. Scholer seen him on pediatrics floor of the hospital. On top of RSV he has a double ear infection and the Dr wouldn't perscribe him any antibiotics. He said it would harm my baby. Another thing he said was not to feed my son fruits (baby food of course) and cut him down on veggies and that I should start feeding him table foods and start feeding him red meat because of the protein and the zinc. NOTE MY SON IS 5 1/2 MONTHS!!!!!! THIS DR IS A JOKE!!!!

My son had frequent ear infections and was chronically underweight. I saw several doctors and no one could give an answer; all they did was prescribe antibiotics. I was as my wits' end, and during an emergency appointment, we met dr. Scholer. From the get go, he was caring, he LISTENED and was open about trying different/alternative treatments. He accurately diagnosed my son as having a dairy allergy. Thanks to that, my son no longer needed ear surgery, has gained weigh and is thriving now. I completely trust him with my son's care. He is an asset to Central Maine Pediatrics.
