Dr. Aaron R Shaftel

Dr. Aaron Shaftel received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degrees from the Ohio State University. After graduating, Dr. Shaftel sought expanded education in more complex dental procedures and was accepted into the prestigious University Hospital AEGD Residency Program. Upon the completion of his residency, Dr. Shaftel entered private practice. He is currently pursuing his fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry and completing the rigorous diplomate requirements for the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine which will make him only the 7th dentist in the state of Ohio to achieve this distinction. Dr. Shaftel is a member of The American Dental Association, The Ohio Dental Association, The Cincinnati Dental Society, The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, The Seattle Study Club, and The Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Shaftel counts high-quality,patient-centered care and patient comfort as his top priorities. He strives to listen carefully …to his patients' concerns and works diligently to meet their dental needs and exceed their expectations in a warm, professional environment. To this end, Dr. Shaftel regularly pursues continuing education opportunities to enhance his skill set and encourages a dialogue with his patients to ensure that their dental-related concerns and anxieties can be addressed and patients can be put at ease.

Dr. Shaftel is married to his wife, Jennifer, and together they have a son, Peyton, and a rescue dog, Chewy. In his spare time, Dr. Shaftel has a passion for athletics and coaches Sycamore High School's Men's Lacrosse Team. He serves as a team dentist for Sycamore High School and has worked with both UC and Ohio State University in fabricating athletic mouthguards for their football teams.
