Horrible experience with my father. We are now dealing with post surgery infections due to not taking care of the original issue. Very unprofessional in that he wouldn’t communicate with the primary care giver. He wouldn’t return calls and told his nurses that I should just speak to another family member. The hospital nurses seemed appalled by his behavior. I’ll certainly be sharing my experiences with the AMA and Comanche County Memorial Hospital.

If you plan on getting your thyroid removed for any reason. Please do your research and go elsewhere. My mother has not recovered from this surgery. It has been over a year. He didn't even try to work with my Mother to rectify her issues. She has been through it all; doctor after doctor. You need to make sure you definitely have a qualified surgeon.

Dr. Trachte performed my bypass surgery. I have had little discomfort. He spent all the time I needed to get my questions and concerns addressed. He understood the after effects of the surgery and explained things to me.

About 7 years ago, Dr. Trachte performed a triple by-pass on my mother. In fact, he operated on his birthday! A gift to us!! He has also been monitoring my mom's AAA for several years. I'm finally writing an over-do review of this gifted doctor. Not only is he high skilled and experienced in his specialties, but he has people (patient) skills. He listens with concern and kindness and explains issues/procedures, etc. with clarity. We simply love this doctor. He has a high calling from God and goes about 'it' with grace. He's humble and down-to-earth and truly cares about his patients. My mom's heart still beats because of this doctor and we are returning for artery issues, as we trust this man. Dr. Trachte has a warm heart!

Dr. Trachte is one of the best thoracic surgeons I have had the pleasure of knowing. Why go all the way to OKC when Lawton has the best? He is very caring and has a awesome bedside manner. His surgery team is very skilled as well.

THIS DOCTOR IS THE REAL DEAL ! HE THINKS OUTSIDE THE BOX . I HAD A RIGHT FEMORAL ARTERY BLOCKED WHEN HE WAS DOING AN ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSM REPAIR AND HE FIXED IT SO THAT I NOW HAVE GOOD BLOOD FLOW TO THAT RIGHT LEG WHICH I MAY HAVE LOST IF NOT FOR HIS QUICK THINKING & IMAGINATIVE SOLUTION . HE DOESN'T ' SOFT SOAP ' WHEN TALKING TO YOU. HE TELLS IT LIKE IT IS , SO IF YOU WANT TO BE CODDLED BE PREPARED FOR STRAIGHT FORWARD TALKING. I'M STRAIGHT BUT I LOVE THIS MAN ,

Dr. Trachte saved my life almost 4 years ago. The more time that passes, the more I value what he did for me. My cardiologist was not at all optimistic about my condition, but Dr. Trachte was positive and made me and my family feel more at ease. The surgery was every bit as successful as he said it would be. He didn't sugar coat anything, he simply stated the facts as they were. Immediately following my surgery which took six hours, he spent half an hour with my family explaining where we had been and the road ahead. He also explained the risks that they each had. Then at my three week follow up appointment, he spent nearly an hour with my wife and me, explaining what the surgery had corrected. The whole time he was explaining what he had done, he was using an alcohol pad removing the tape and glue from my incision site. I was really impressed that he was humble enough to take the time to do that. In my opinion, he is a medical genius and this community is lucky to have him.

SO FAR EVERYTHING IS GREAT WHEN I HAD QUESTIONS AFTER SURGURY, I CALLED HIM FROM MY HOUSE. HE CALLED RIGHT BACK.I AM FEELING BETTER ALL THE TIME. SO FAR HE IS A LIFE SAVER . I WILL LET YOU KNOW IN 20 YEARS HOW GOOD HE REALLY IS. I AM 47 NOW.

Dr. Trachte is a very nice person. His bedside manner with the family is kind of unstable though. When he is off his associate is very sneaky. They both try to avoid the families which really makes for an uneasy atmosphere when problems arise.
