Dr. Aarti Bhupendra Surti, MD

I came to Dr. Surti to check on some fatty tissue in my breast. She immediately decided it was possibly a tumor and told me this as if she was telling me that water is wet. When I started to get upset she left the room and told me someone would be in to take my blood. I’m lucky. I was able to book an appointment with the top breast cancer doctor in NYC a few months after my conversation with Dr. Surti. That doctor not only told me decisively it was nothing to worry about her beside manner was incredible. Dr. Surti has a long way to go in her mastering her chosen skill set. I hope that one day she gets there.

She behaves like it’s the 19th century and treats patients as bystanders in their healthcare. Go to her perhaps for lobotomy for your depression or perhaps a hysterectomy for hysteria. Out of touch and useless.

Dr. Surti is competent and very responsive to any issues I've had. She has become my primary care physician because of her deft handling of everything from birth control to IBS to memory/focus issues.

Went to Dr. Aarti for what I thought was BV, she thought it might be a UTI. She gave me 3 days of antibiotics (I had been experiencing symptoms for almost2 months and explained that — I had tried treating it naturally first and it just wasn't working/strong enough.) The antibiotics helped but shortly after finishing them, the infection returned. On my follow-up visit to Surti she seemed to disbelieve me and said that she didn't think it was an infection and that the only thing we could do was a sonogram. I'm not a doctor, but I clearly understand my body way better. If the antibiotics worked the first time around and the symptoms returned soon after the completion, then it's clearly an infection and stronger dose is needed. I had to go see someone else in order to get this resolved. If Dr. Surti can't get to the bottom of a UTI or basic reproductive infection, how would she figure out something more complicated or complex?
