He is the Best ophthalmologist In Arizona and I love how he treats his patients, and how he cares about the ones with no insurance. God bless his Heart??

Dr Kamal is a great doctor make no mistake. but his office staff is deplorable. 3 days after my scheduled appt i had to call and find out they moved offices. Now today they call me for my Monday check up appt and tell my sorry - they do not accept my insurance anymore - done. It is so unprofessional i just had to write a review. ??

Dr Kamal was very attentive and kind in his office. I felt like I could trust him - and I've had several eye surgeries before. He removed a cataract for me and while the overall experience wasn't bad, during surgery prep I was left alone for 45+ mins. No one checked on me or talked to me to ease anxiety. Even though I see him in the Mesa office, the surgi-center is at 32nd St. & Shea in Phx. It's a long drive through lots of traffic , esp for seniors. I'd scheduled a 2nd surgery with him and received a call today that he'll no longer do my procedure anywhere but the aforementioned surgi-center, and only at 6 AM!! That came off as uncaring and arrogant to me and this senior will not be driving 25 miles at 5 AM to get surgery.

When I was with the doctor I had his full attention and eye contact. He was very communicative. His staff was very friendly both at the front desk and when they dilated my eyes and collected data. I will continue to use Axis Eye Center for my diabetic eye care needs.

Dr Kamal runs a cataract clinic where speed is of the essence and one procedure fits all. His staff is minimally qualified and he does not take time with individual patients. He resents any patient inquiries - speed is of the essence; get them in and out as fast as possible.
