Dr. Abbas Rampurwala, MD

Visit was great. Staff was helpful and organized (amd there was Werthers!) My primary Dr. sent me to Dr. R. I could not be happier. The care I received was excellent. The Dr takes time to check my history and meds and provide me with ongoing options. He works well with Dr. M, the electrical heart doc. Professional, but friendly.

1st appointment with Dr. Rampurwala after my heart attack. He was very good, kind, nice, and thorough. Pulled up all my records from St. Joseph Hospital and helped me get my blood work from quest. He made me feel much better about my health. He answered all my questions and gave me advice that I needed. Going back in 2 months for follow up on blood work that should of be called in from primary Dr. I was very happy to pick him as my new Cardiologist

Dr R is not your typical MD. He is prepared for your appointment and has reviewed lab results and test reports before meeting with you. He is direct with treatment planning and provides rationales for changes. While being efficient and professional he harbors a discrete sense of humor that connects on a personal level. I believe that you will be very satisfied with the care and treatment you receive from Dr R and his staff.

Dr. R is the best cardiologist. He is knowledgeable, patient, listens well, and cares about out my well being. His office staff is helpful and caring. It's easy to get an appointment, and the in/out process is quick. Thank you Dr. R and staff

Dr. Rampurwala is one of the best doctors I've ever been too. He spends time with each patient and you never feel like you are being rushed. He asks a lot of questions and gives his patients time to ask questions in return. Highly recommended!

I can't recommend Dr. Rampurwala. Recently, I saw him for occasional heart palpitations. He changed my medication, but did not mention any side effects. I switched medications and had a bad reaction. Instead of lowering my pulse it increased. I had a constant pounding sensation in my chest and head and was slightly short of breath. I stopped taking the new med. I contacted the office on a Monday and spoke to a nurse (Dr. was not in on Monday). I explained the symptoms, gave her my blood pressure/pulse numbers and she basically told me that the numbers were fine and she didn't think the Dr. would be worried. She told me he would call the next day. He didn't call. No new medication was offered. I feel that Dr. R and staff did not care how I felt. If there was nothing wrong why was my heart pounding all day? I consider Dr. Rampurwala fired. I want a doctor that sees me as a person not as statistics. It's possible he was busy with other patients, but no one called to tell me… he wasn't available. Instead, my heart continued to pound and I was left wondering why this was happening. I'll be going somewhere else.

Dr Rampurwala gives clear guidance and discussed all factors with me. Easy to talk to and provides terrific personal care. The staff at his office are also very friendly and competent.

Staff was efficient and through. Dr R reviewed all my tests and took as much time as I needed to be reassured of my health..He saved my life in the emergency room. I will never forget..thanks doc
