Dr. Abby Lise Bleistein

I had Dr. Bleistein as a doctor for almost 9 years. She was and still is the best Dr I have ever had. Caring, courteous, friendly, accurate, compassionate and I could go on. Unfortunately I moved from the state. If I were still there or I ever go back I will look her up and hopefully she would take me as a patient again. If you want a doctor who cares about her patients and her work this is the doctor you need to have.

Dr. Bleistein has always provided me with ample time to discuss all my concerns - and having had a number of significant health issues, it's taken substantial time each appointment. Her ability to hone in on possible sources of a problem (both minor and major) has always been 100% accurate and very helpful. She has always personally called me directly with results (even on a saturday morning) and taken the time to discuss all my options over the phone. She's also followed-up personally if I haven't circled back with her to find out what decisions I've made for the course of treatment. My husband has now started to see Dr. Bleistein as well, and has been equally pleased.

Dr bliestien was nice but when my newborn had a health issue I was very disappointed in how she handled it. After referring her for further testing she had her medical assistant call with results. The assistant said that she could not pronounce the condition so she spelled it to me. When I asked for an explanation she said she didn't know what it was but could look on the Internet. I asked for dr bliestien to call me and explain. When she finally called I told her I thought it was inappropriate to tell someone their newborn has a health condition by having someone who could offer no explanation spell it over the phone. She said she had the ma call because she was very busy and did not think she would have time to call for a couple days. She did call the next day to apologize but who wants a doctor who does not have 2 minutes to follow up on a health scare for a new baby? Also the receptionist there is rude and we always waited at least 30-40 minutes to be seen for scheduled appointment… .
