Dr. Abdallah Issam Kabbara, MD

Dr. Kabara performed a kyphoplasty procedure on my father in February 2023. It was supposed to be a simple procedure. He injected the needle twice into the wrong location and released cement into my father‘s spinal cord. My father had to have a seven hour surgery to try and scrape the cement out of his spinal cord, which would turn out to be unsuccessful. My father has been in an extreme amount of pain ever since the procedure. We have talked to many other doctors and have found that this procedure is supposed to be an easy one if you are watching your x-rays correctly. I hope some of you that are considering this procedure see this and steer clear of this man, he should not be allowed to practice. Also, take note university Hospital reviews are all five star. Don’t be fooled by this, they are selectively choosing positive reviews.

After nearly 1 year of being "treated" by Dr. Kabarra for excruciating pain from fibromyalgia, I was being seen by his nurse practitioner, Victoria Correl. I could write several chapters of unprofessional, demeaning and insensitive behavior by both Kabarra and Victoria Corell, but what's important to know is that I was actual getting one pain med per day and I STILL asked to be released from his care because of the way I was treated. No amount of medication is worth this demeaning experience by someone entrusted with my well-being. Neither of them should be allowed to treat people with chronic pain.

1st visit very pleasant, 2nd visit came in like a two yr old having tantrum yelling at MA because new computer system not uploaded fast enough, you don't show that behavior in front of patients, looked at me & said ''if I didn't really need pain meds, I wouldn't get nothing." Due to severe PTSD from previous surgery, not by him, that left me with a tracheotomy because of a mishap during cervical procedure I refuse any surgery to be done on me, he replied, "things happen", he was rather adamant about a procedure he wanted to perform on me that I refused. Several neurosurgeons told me till it was detrimental to my health not to have any procedures. Kabarra, uncaring cut me off my meds because I refuse to comply to his demands. If I was to have a procedure it would be done by a qualified back surgeon, not pain mgmt. He uses his position to impose unwanted meds & procedures upon patients instead of HELPING to work with patients that KNOW what has been working for them. WOULD NEVER REFER… HIM!!!

I have RSD. It is a very painful disease. He doesn't push pain pills. He doesn't push medication dosage increase unless absolutely necessary. It's not because he doesn't want to help us, it's because he is helping us. Too much and he cannot control our pain. He and his staff do not treat us like drug addicts. We are people with real pain issues. During procedures he's a hoot. I absolutely love him. I've been with him since 2011. I run a support group and have been to other clinics with my members and I was really upset at how they were treated. As an advocate I can say with 100% confidence that Dr. Kabbara is the best pain management doctor in NEO. It states Anesthesiologist but he's also a Neurologist.

Adequate doctor when it comes to everyday pain relief for simple, common issues like herniated or bulging discs or nerve Compression. Average intelligence. Limited understanding. God complex. If you need something more complicated than an epidural or caudle for pain relief, e.g., kyphoplasty or vertebroplasty, please avoid this doctor and seek expert care elsewhere with a Board Certified Osteopathic Surgeon.

folks..in 3 years with this guy has ended because he has no heart, i will probably die due to him and withdrawal..yes, i made 1 misteak as i cancelled an appt due to weather and fear of falling, so..i ran out and in so much pain i asked my brother for a pain pill...1 time and he cuts me off..i am so afraid..i wish him will as he is in my country

Dr, Kabbara is a fine Dr... his staff is excellant, wait time perfect....I just wish he would order tests as the pain has gotten so bad I just sit..and pray to die...anyhow, what Pain Meds being sold and bought today by thugs.. he runs a tight ship.. Contract must be followed...I wish he would educate himself about Lymphedema..it seems most Dr.s today feel we lie about pain..I DONT...when the lymph system was damaged was an accident as i was tossed over the top roap at a show in michigan and landed BAD..pro wrestler 18 years... anyhow..he is as most doc are..hi...script...3 months.lol.

Very short wait for an appointment, staff friendly courteous and helpful . Dr Kabbara spent time with me and is very knowledgeable about pain and backpain issues treats patients with respect.

Awful rude and total misdiagnosis of chronic condition

been on pain medication for years. First visit with him he takes me off all without ever seeing an x ray or ct scan. Apparently I'm just supposed to tough it out.
