Dr. Abdelrhman Abo-Zed

Dr. Abdelrhman Abo-Zed is a board-certified Pulmonary and Critical Care physician and founder of Care Beyond ICU: A Virtual Road to Recovery.With extensive experience caring for critically ill patients, Dr. Abo-Zed specializes in helping ICU survivors and their families navigate recovery, reduce readmissions, and improve quality of life through personalized telehealth follow-up. His mission is to bridge the gap between hospital discharge and full recovery with expert medical guidance, education, and compassionate care.

Dr. Abo-Zed is also passionate about stopping problems before they start. One of his projects, a maternal sepsis study, was published in CHEST Journal and focuses on catching infections early in pregnant women to keep them out of the ICU. He's also a co-author of Rapid Response Events in the Critically Ill, a book that teaches students how to handle emergency situations in healthcare.

He founded Care Beyond ICU to make sure patients get the support they need after …leaving the hospital. Through services like virtual follow-ups and pharmacy help, Dr. Abo-Zed works to prevent readmissions and ensure smoother recoveries.
