I had bad experience with my son when i sent him for emergency visit, He didnt interduse himself, he was asking my son one question and he left, after that i call the pct and i asked her:” when the doctor is going to see us” ???she said ooooo the doctor saw your son 30 minutes ago ???????? It looks like one stranger came to te room ????

Uncaring and not addressing my concerns. Even referred me to an nonexistent doctor for follow up! Unbelievable! If I die because my symptoms were paid enough attention to, it’s because of this person!

better off with anyone else

I was referred by Dr. Elfar’s 5yr old son who is visiting his great Aunt from California who is my BFF of 30yrs. I am here visiting NY from L.A. and when I decided I needed to go to the E.R. ASAP his son stated, “go see my dad, he’s a doctor and he’ll take care of you”. Since the hospital is literally around the way I took his son’s advice and had my husband drive me to his dad’s E.R. During my visit to his hospital as a patient, I found Dr. Elfar to be an excellent physician. In addition to superb skills as an ER doc., he is a thoughtful, attentive physician, who really care about the people who come into his E.R. He is always doing what is in the best interest of the patient. He made my visit to the ER so comfortable d/t his kind and caring attitude and because of this, I am extremely grateful for the attention that was given to me by him and his staff. In spite of the obstacles that were involved with the treatment that was given. I highly recommend him without reservation. “I… was surrounded by an army of Angels that night in the ER, they really brought me through it, so God Bless You and Your Staff Dr. Elfar!” Pls be advised Dr, Elfar my name is Josi Belafonte and I didn’t want to make you nervous by telling you that your family referred me.

Dr. Elfar is a very wonderful and caring doctor. He treated me with dignity and respect and took time out of his busy schedule to truly listen to my problems, questions, and concerns. I was referred by his Ex-girlfriend who shares a 5 yr old son with him and lives across the country in Beverly Hills, Ca. BTW the kid is a genius. He (his son) speaks 5 languages and is studying at a 6th grade level. That should tell you a lot about Dr, Elfar as a person. I went to my dermatologist about a rash that I had for couple of months on my breast and he ruled it out as dermatitis, but when I finally went to see Dr, Elfar in the ER/ED d/t a swollen breast with rash and fever, he was extremely thorough and catered to every single one of my symptoms with compassion and professionalism and because of this he diagnosed me with IBC (inflammatory breast cancer). The quality of care that was given was of the highest He cares not only about your well- being, but also about your emotional state. I only… wish all doctors were more like him he gave me superb care and no words can describe how graciously grateful I am of him. Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you a million times over again Dr. Elfar because of you I might have a chance at living a longer life. Oh and I have to ad that he had no idea that his ex-girlfriend referred me until after my exam/ visit. So thank you to both of them. I'm a healthcare worker myself at a different hospital than the one he practices at. Dr. Elfar took excellent care of me during a recent illness, very thorough, knowledgeable, compassionate and caring... I highly recommend him!

Not only was my chief complaint not addressed, he was condescending, rude and dismissed my concerns. Left hours later with no answers, feeling embarrassed and upset by his cold and aloof manner. Wouldn’t return to that ED for anything.

After being in ER for 8 hours, he came in and told me I had an infection, take a new med and see my doctor in the morning. His conversation lasted 30 seconds! I could hardly understand him, as his English is poor. It would have been nice to have someone explain the severity of the infection, and go into more detail before sending me home without explaining the findings of the tests. He is deplorable.

Do not see this doctor under any circumstances. He ignored very serious symptoms my child was having... I demanded another dr and thank God I did because they caught the problem.

Horrible. Is the only word.
