Never got to the doctor. Had to call half a dozen times and left two messages (not returned) before I even got to speak to someone. Then got disconnected from the first receptionist. Only to be treated rudely and told to go somewhere else if I wanted to be assessed for an emotional support animal by the second receptionist. I explained that I was indeed seeking treatment (and would comply with the therapist's recommendations) and merely wanted to find a therapist that was open to the idea of an ESA. I was rudely informed that I should find a different doctor.

Very knowledgeable, professional, timely, thorough and patient.

Woeful communication skills, cold and detached demeanor. In addition, the front office staff of his 'Psych Associates of Maryland' are in dire need of psychiatric counseling themselves. Unprofessional environment.

Dr Malik is one of the best in his field as far as I'm concerned. He has always taken the time to listen to any problems/questions/concerns I've had and addresses each one of them. He isn't very talkative but is very easy to talk to about any issues. As far as accuracy of diagnosis is concerned, after seeing three doctors for the problems I was experiencing I finally made an appointment with him. I wish I had done so from the beginning. Both diagnosis' he has given make sense and his treatment plan has far exceeded my expectations. For the first tim in years I feel normal. The process of psychopharmacology isn't an easy one. Each person reacts to each medication in a very different way. After trials on several meds we found a best fit and in conjunction with therapy, my life has done a complete 180, from horrible to pretty great.
