Dr. Abdulquader Khan, MD

I walk in, and tell the front desk person I have a appt w/ Dr. Kahn. She said to have a seat and don't sign the sheet as that's for PT, not pain mgmt. An hour later, I went back to the front desk and asked, and the second girl at the desk said she was about to phone me because they were waiting for me. I asked, "Didn't she tell you I was here?" referring to the first girl I saw, who was sitting there hearing this. She said no, gave a look, rolled eyes as clearly this isn't the first time. So I asked her, "Why didn't you tell her I was here?" She ignored me and started speaking Spanish to another patient. That reaction made me immediately cancel my appointment. I turned to the rude girl and said thanks for wasting my time, to which she responded, "You're welcome," in a nasty, condescending tone. I’m not sure if there is animosity between the 2 girls at the front desk but she should not involve a patient. Dr. Abdulquader Khan and NY Interventional Spine & Pain Medicine need to get better… front desk receptionists to represent them on the front lines. Incompetent on their part and with them condoning this, and in the medical field for chronic pain, I recommend to seek better treatment.

Thank you so much Dr. Khan for taking care of my husband. I really feel like you took the time and listened to our concerns. That meant a lot to us. My husband is doing great since his last visit and is walking more and is actually now helping me with house chores. Have been to other pain doctors before who seem to be careless in their approach and always felt rushed. But this time we found a good doctor and plan to stay with him. Great bedside manner and very polite.
