Holistic but not in the alternative medicine sense. Really bright. Felt better after the first session than my past ones

So reading the reviews, it is possible that Dr. Sallaj would have been worthy, but I got stuck with Emilie Emberton who I would render completely useless. So much so I might actually request that they don't bill my insurance. She really had no insight, not a lot to say or comment on, but then wanted me to see Dr, Sallaj, which I would've been fine with but was unsure why I wasted my time (and PTO) on her. While very empathetic and an emotionally intelligent communicator, she added no medical value at all to my issue. I know over the last few years that the demand for treatment outweighs the practitioners, but I wouldn't even put her in the practitioner category unless you really want to call it "practice", because it really seemed like she could use some practice. Awful waste of time. They did reply saying the point of an initial meeting is to gather information. That's a waste of money in my opinion. You shouldn't charge a physician assistant rate for a job any high schooler… can do. Your response to me shows that your practice is a money making scam by starting off with high priced initial consultations only to be followed by a high price legitimate provider. It's apparent that since initially responding to my review, "Dr" Sallaj has taken a much more aggressive and defensive stance on his reviews, so I will objectively clarify his assumptions (he's obviously not yet learned that assume makes an youknowhat out of you and me) 1) I am doctor shopping. My previous doctor died. I hadn't seen her in 3 years. She was the best doctor I'd ever seen as her motto was "I hope I never see you again". It's evident "Dr" Sallaj wants you paying him forever. I did have some issues as a result of COVID and was sad to have learned of her passing. I think it's irresponsible to just pick any random doctor and commit to them for a long period of time. I know that helps his revenue stream to suggest you see him forever though. 2). I'm actually looking for LESS medication. I was shocked when Emile suggested I could increase a certain medication I was on by 12x in response to my ask to be on less medication. Medication shopping is a bit of a fallacy...controlled substances are closely monitored nowadays so thinking pharmacies will fill whatever is sent to them is idiotic. I was more perturbed by the suggestion I should increase medication and then.... 3). They REALLY want you to get on their ketamine treatment and even moreso their TMS. "Dr" Sallaj gets good revenue from that but doesn't show up for the administration of it. 4). I'm not looking for a script writer. I'm looking for efficient treatment however. If you like to be milked for your money for a looooong period of time, "Dr" Sallaj is perfect five stars for you. My current provider is amazing. She insists on doing the initial consult WITH the PA so they're on the same page from the getgo. Then the PA checks in regularly via text and actively works with me to safely ramp DOWN on medications. 5). I would heed caution in god-complex doctors. Those who decide what is moral vs immoral and those who tell you that you shouldn't have a choice in your medical treatment indicate to me that they expect you to be a subservient patient following their beck and call without question. You are in charge of your health and you do have choice and rights to privacy. And treatment should never be described as shame-inducing. That shows he expects you to be beneath him to admit your shame to him. I prefer to think of therapy as a cathartic release of inner struggles. That's my opinion though, as I am moralistic and modest enough to not think my opinions are words of God. Don't forget all those opiod addicts who blindly followed their doctor's orders. Choose smart. Don't fall for the overly defensive and garbage excuse making he replied to below. Since writing the initial review, I'm already mostly medication free and 100% substance abuse free with my other provider

Dr. sallaj is truly an exveptional doctor. I hit severe insomnia in my third trimester coupled with anxiety and he worked the challenges with me right by my side. He emailed me back whenever I reached out and put orders in on time. I'm not sure how I would get through this tough time without him. He is an excellent care provider, a rarity!

In a world full of doctors as wacky as their patients, Dr. Sallaj is a welcome relief. He actually commits to spending time with his patients before making diagnosis and changing medications. He is 100% non judgmental and is very insightful. I was a total basket case when I got to him and within a year he brought me back to me. This is one special guys and if he takes you on as a patient know that you are just as lucky.

He was very friendly and easy to talk to. I am usually very anxious about going to see any doctor, but I felt at ease and was able to have a good conversation. He was empathetic and funny and I do hope to continue seeing him

He is very very relateable. My son is very comfortable with him!

My 18 year old son has been seeing him for the last 2 years and he just loved him. He listens to what my son has to say and offers great insight. My son looks forward to seeing him once a month, even though he has been doing great on his own with his social anxiety and really doesn't need to keep going. Highly recommend him!!!

Dr. S is an exceptional doctor. I have seen different doctors over the years and he is in a league of his own. He listens, asks the right questions and provides incredible insight. I learn so much from him and look forward to our visits. I have never left his office without something profound to think about.

Working with Dr. Sallaj is truly one of the best thing I've ever done for myself. He has helped me so much with my personal and professional life. A listener, challenges me when needed, and does it with a respectful sense of humor. So thankful...

Dr. Sallaj is respectful and non-judgemental. He listens and suggests ways to deal with emotions and positively handle situations.
