Dr. Abdullah Marogi Yonan

I seen Dr Yonan for extreme shortness of breath and chest pain in May. He told me to drive myself to Boswell hospital knowing how serious my symptoms were. I was admitted and spent 5 days in the hospital. Dr Yonan came to see me twice during my stay. Not only is he unprofessional and rude, his diagnosis for me was “in my head”. How can any doctor tell a patient this comment unless he doesn’t know how to care and treat patients which from my experience I would have gotten better care going to a free clinic. I had 3 further hospital stays after dumping this quack and was diagnosed correctly with asthma and a blood clot in my lung. I will never recommend this drug store wanna be. I have a wonderful doctor who does care and was able to diagnose my condition to include imaging testing which was not done by Yonan. He needs to hang up his stethoscope and take a course in kindness. I’m sure the good reviews were from his staff and personal friends if he has any. My insurance was notified of… his terrible treatment and missed diagnosis which they did make a note of. I also reported his behavior to the medical board. He has no business trying to be a doctor with no knowledge.

My husband had the misfortune of being assigned this doctor while a patient at Banner Thunderbird. As the result of over 10 days in the hospital due to major surgery - he developed pneumonia and his lungs filled with fluid. Dr. Yonan came to my husband's room and due to the fact that my husband also had MRSA - the doctor stood in the doorway and told us that he disagreed with the x-ray findings and he would be OK. Reluctantly, he gowned up - and walked over and TAPPED his stethoscope 3 places on his back - not long enough to listen - I WATCHED!!! He said NO TREATMENT NECESSARY. My husband got worse that evening and ended up going back up to the ICU and had to have the fluid drained. We believe his lack of care - allowing his condition to worsen, caused the resultant kidney failure and prolonged his recovery. With encouragement from staff, we FIRED this doctor from his care.

I have recommended others to him. He is a good Dr. I am lucky to have him!

Dr Yonan is great. When I consider all the doctors that I see, I have to say that he is the one that I trust the most.

I cannot thank Dr. Yonan and his nurses enough for the kindness and care I received.

Dr. Yonan has taken care of me for over 15 years. I recently had a emergency visit for shortness of breath and his care was beyond perfect. I am so thankful he is my Doctor.

Dr Yonan is always kind and a great listener. Had a breathing test this time--technician was great--she was very proactive and I knew exactly what to do.

If you are looking for a physician who is arrogant, doesn't listen to his patients and has a demeaning bedside manner, I would highly recommend him.

Short, sweet, to the point, but answered all my many questions. He prescribed my CPAP. It has made a huge difference in my sleep and my life. Bob McPeek

What a horrible doctor. My mother was referred here by her primary doctor due to an xray of her lungs that needed to be addressed by a specialist - scarring of the lungs and collapsed sacs. When the Dr saw my mother he didn't even take the time to look over any of the files or paperwork and told her that she was fat, wasting his time and all she needed was to breathe deeper. Don't even waste your time seeing this pitiful excuse of a doctor. His ability to practice should be revoked, and we are contacting all avenues to let them know how horrible he is.
