Dr. Abhishake Kaapuraala, MD

I saw Dr. Kaapuraala after seeing the two other doctors in the practice. He is by far the best one in my opinion. He takes the time to talk with you and any of your concerns, actually does a physical exam, and is willing to listen to what you’d like to see happen and is good on meeting you halfway with some things so we are both happy with the visit. I would definitely recommend him for someone that’s looking for a new family dr.

I had diverticulitis I was admitted to their Urbana Hospital all the nurses that night were great the doctor was great then came morning change of shift bossy nurse and a new doctor I'm feeling pretty good because my fever broke in the middle of the night and I was no longer in pain but I have to go back 7 days to let you know and I was misdiagnosed at Urgent Care for bladder infection then 5 days later I'm in Urbana emergency room with diverticulitis 5 days of misery from the misdiagnosis now dr kaapuraala says I can eat low fiber diet and they mixed my tray with somebody else's and it's a high fiber diet dummy me eat it and within an hour I'm in pain I try to walk it off and by noon I feel better my low-fiber lunch arrives at quarter till one remember I'm at the Urbana Hospital I'm done eating nurse comes gets my tray and and says you can go home at this point I feel and I ain't well enough to go home what's the nurse says I'm not trying to push you out but she was I was thinking to… myself I know how this fever welcome back but I wasn't for sure I didn't want to question a professional a nurse even said to me insurance companies once you out I doubt they keep you another night the nurse could see that I would didn't want to leave and that she didn't want to rush me so it about 2:30 I get out they gave me hard copy scripts had to go to Walmart set there for 30 minutes got home at about 3:30 took my two antibiotics and lay down at 5 I had a fever of 102.4 I was right back where I was sweating profusely now that I'm hydrated and the fever is not dropping all I needed was one more day and I would have been fine I feel that I had undue pain and suffering because of this doctor that's all I got to say thanks
