Dr. Abigail Marie Hemken, MD

Her “I’m the doctor” attitude and lack of bedside manner were off putting. Her poor treatment was disgraceful. I will never let her treat one of my family members.

Took time with mom for small talk to get mom relaxed. Explained what & why she was doing her procedures. Voiced understanding of mom's concerns and was able to convince her to do what needed to be done. Mom enjoyed her.... And that's saying a lot coming from mom!!!

She has an open schedule and it is easy to get in and see her. She spends the appropriate amount of time and really lets me know that she cares for me as a patient and a person. She refers appropriately and is very knowledgeable. She has my back . She is a great physician and has helped me through life and death. She is a gem.

Every appointment was disappointing: does not follow up, cancels and says you cancelled with her in your chart, slams doors (who knows why), States you have been called for results when, in fact no one called. She just doesn't seem to know what to do about simple issues, lacks confidentiality----really bad!! If you are not getting well she blames the patient---you made this happen, but can't explain why, then prays over you, then sends you home!!! Nothing is wrong with prayer, but I believe there may have to be other/additional avenues for healing.
