Dr. Abigail Elaine Ley

After two years of searching for answers for our son, who has ADHD and autism, and seeing numerous physicians—including specialists at major universities—Dr. Abigail Ley was the first doctor who truly made a difference. She took the time to listen, asked thoughtful questions, and provided insights and practical advice that no one else had offered us before. Her depth of knowledge, compassion, and ability to understand the complexities of neurodevelopmental conditions immediately stood out. For the first time in a long time, we left an appointment feeling hopeful and confident about the direction for our son’s care. We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Ley and highly recommend her to any family navigating ADHD, autism, or developmental concerns.

Unfortunately, we waited more than 8 months to see her, but it was a horrible experience. The office itself was fine, but Dr. Ley was terrible. She seemed to forget the most important part of being a provider: building rapport and making a good first impression with the patient and family. She didn’t even introduce herself, I had to ask if she was the physician. She didn’t acknowledge my son, who is 10 years old, has ASD, and is extremely smart and fun. Instead, she ignored him and seemed annoyed when I admitted I had forgotten one of his medications. She never asked, “Why are you here?” but immediately assumed I was only seeking medication. She didn’t care to talk to my son or listen to my reasons for the visit. Shockingly, she implied that I should be tell my 10-year-old he has ASD. Her body language made it clear she wanted us gone, so that’s exactly what I did, I walked out with my son. Her bedside manner was awful. I don’t care how intelligent she may be she failed badly at the… basics of patient care. After less than 5 minutes of bitterness from a pediatric neurologist, we left upset. She later wanted to talk to me, but I didn’t give her the opportunity. Why should I, when she had no interest in listening to either the patient or the parent? My advice to mothers of children with ASD or ADHD: run away from this physician. She is very disrespectful toward young patients and their families.

Very professional and helpful, and her staff is incredibly friendly. Her assistant, Sonia, is so efficient and kind! I felt like my child was in good hands!

My peds recommended her ,she told me there was a wait to see her but it was worth it. She was right! Both my children are patients of Dr.Ley. They both adore her. She’s extremly knowledgeable and was able to diagnose my daughter and get her on the right treatment. She’s very attentive and wonderful with the kiddos. I’m so glad we found her. Her staff is wonderful and so helpful! Don’t know would I would do w/o her or Mike.

Dr. Ley was very thorough, knowledgeable and honest she helped with getting an appropriate diagnosis for my grandkids. I feel with her guidance my grandkids are on the path to a successful life.

My son has been a patient of Dr. Ley for almost 7 years. We first visited her at the Port. St. Lucie location and have followed her here to Palm Beach. She has been very understanding, helpful, and encouraging throughout this journey. My son absolutely adores her and enjoys each visit.

My son has been seeing Dr Ley for the past 5 years,, always had a positive experience! She has good bedside manner, knows her stuff, and good with my kiddo. I highly recommend.
