BEST SURGEON IN LOS ANGELES!! My life has completely changed after getting my hip done. Suffering for years gone in a day. I can live again. Dr Bala is a master. After years of suffering with a bunk knee with so many surgeries, I finally took the jump to have knee replacement. Two weeks were really tough, but my physical therapist said I was progressing faster than most given my history. I am a retired engineer and I can tell he loves his craft. You don’t need a nice guy, you need a skilled surgeon, and he is the one you want.

RUDE. Dismissive of all of my research on regenerative treatment for my hip pain and wear and tear. Many of my friends felt better with stem cell treatment. When we finally got around to talking about surgery, he said we then have to wait half a year or more. Ridiculous and ran 15 minutes late to my appointment

If you have Kaiser in SoCal and need hip surgery, Dr Bala is the BEST! I had anterior hip replacement surgery and now three months later, most days I forget I had surgery. I only took the pain medication for three days. I drove several hours away to have it done by him based on my research, and had to wait, but it was COMPLETELY WORTH IT. The whole team at Kaiser LA was amazing, everything was very clear and made the experience smooth. Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!

Wonderful surgeon for hip replacement. He is very attentive and explains the procedure and process. I am very active in my sixties, and pilates and jogging became impossible. I researched about minimally invasive hip surgery and was referred to Doctor Bala. Within weeks I was pain free and walking normally. Now that I am three months out, I forget I even had surgery. Went back to my first class feeling great!! Thank you Doctor Bala!

Kind of a jerk. Refuses to operate on me because my weight is too much for the “cut off.” at least he offered to follow up with me to see if I’m making progress, only one more star for that, but he is asking for something impossible. How can I lose weight if I can’t walk on a bad leg.

I work in the healthcare arena myself, and had surgery performed by Doctor Bala. Ive been around the block, and can tell the difference between a physician who cares and really knows what’s going on, versus those that don’t. Yes you need to wait, so does everyone, but it’s well worth it.

If you’re looking for hand-holding kind of doc, keep moving. If you want your life back, this is your guy. Can be hard to reach but if you just follow the stuff you’re given you’ll be all right, don’t need to talk much. Full hip replacement doing good

Thoroughly impressed by Dr. Bala and his entire team at Kaiser. The last thing I remember was seeing my X-Ray and him commanding the room discussing my surgery. The next thing you know I’m back at recovery, getting ready to walk just hours after a full hip replacement surgery. I went home the same day, had some soreness which I was told about for a few weeks, but now that I am several months out, I sometimes even forget that I had a big surgery.
