Dr. Achankunju A Chacko, MD

This "doctor" is smug, dismissive and highly unprofessional. He doesn't answer patient questions and will withhold your own medical information from you which leads to bizarre uncomfortable interactions. He never had me do a physical in 3 years and I never spoke with him for more than 5 minutes whether it was enough time to address my concerns or not.

Dr. Chacko is all about the money, it take 30 minutes waited to see him and its take him less than 5 minutes to see you. He always wants to see you back for follow up, can't even give a correct diagnostic.

I went in because I had been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. After being half an hour late to arrive to the office for my visit, he said he would have to run some tests. I asked him what the tests would measure. He said that he would tell me after he ran the tests. I asked again what, precisely, he would be looking for, and he repeated that he could only tell me after the test. When I coughed in frustration, he asked me if I was in respiratory distress. When I replied that I was frustrated, he told me that he didn't think we could have a very good doctor-patient relationship and that I should leave. When my husband went in for a mild rash on his face, Dr. Chacko became convinced that he had lupus, even though he had no other signs of it. Going back for a "routine checkup" later, my husband later realized that the entire visit was to screen him for lupus. His conviction that this was lupus seemed to blind him to other (more normal and less dire) alternatives.I would not recommend this… doctor at all.
