Dr. Adalbert Pilip, MD

I went to see Dr. Philip as a new Primary doctor. Visit was uneventful. He is also a Cardiologist, and about 1-2 weeks later, his office calls to tell me that he wants me to get a certain test done, which he never even mentioned at the time of my visit. I asked his office to have him call me to explain the reason for the test. He did not call. I believe his assistant called on his behalf. Then his office tells me that they will mail me my prescription. To this date, it has never come. Like I said, not impressed.

I went to Dr. Pilip after I had extreme difficulty breathing and becoming extremely winded very easily. Dr. Pilip never gave up on me. After the results of an EKG, he decided the best course of action was an angiogram preformed at St. Francis hospital. As a result of the angiogram, I had an 80% blockage in an artery which was remedied with a stent. He gave me a second lease on life. However, I wasn’t feeling much better after the procedure. After discussion with the Doctor, answering numerous questions regarding my symptoms, Dr. Pilip started me on a combination of breathing medications before going forward. I am happy to say, that once again Dr. Pilip diagnosed me perfectly and I am feeling at least 90% better than I did for the last year. Not only that but sent me for allergy testing which determined my breathing problem was, in part, due to an allergy. The bad news: I don’t have any more legitimate excuses to not begin exercising but that’s ok. I now have goals to get my… health back on track. Thank You Dr Pilip and staff!

Insurance company billed after waiting two hours and not being seen.

I had a primary doctor for over 22 years when I needed immediate attention to critical questions regarding my health, they never responded. It made me very sad, upset and quite frankly disappointed. I googled the best doctor, cardiologist, internist near me, and "Thank God", I was blessed with Dr. Pilip. The possibility of having thyroid cancer, major issues from a car accident, and having nothing properly diagnosed, is beyond words. Dr. Pilip addressed, diagnosed, and has given me outstanding care as a patient. Even better that he's a cardiologist, and my family has a strong history of cardiomyopathy. Can not say enough great things about Dr. Pilip.

I needed a new PCP due to insurance change and decided on Dr. Pilip and could not be happier. From the first visit for my physical through the time I needed a prescription and a referral everyone was great. The Dr is awesome and just as important- the staff are all excellent at customer service . They called me after hours to make sure I had what I needed . Great place

Dr. Pilip didn't listen to my self diagnosis of acid reflux. He sensed right away that it was a heart problem and in the strongest words possible got through to me that my life was in danger. I had 100% blockage in 2 veins and 90 and 70% in the other 2 resulting in Quintuple bypass surgery. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here much longer!

They do not call you back to give you results for cat scan or blood work. It's very annoying to wait around anxiously for a phone call that doesn't happen.

I have not seen a practice like this on long island, and i have moved around quite a bit. Truly upscale feel. Staff is very nice. Doctor shares his phone number with all of his patients, i cant believe it. The only time i have seen a physician offer that in the past is when it was a concierge practice costing $7500/ year. He always texts back. Spent with me at one of the office visits 20 mins explaining the need for a medication and convinced me how important it is for me to take it, where as other doctors in the past would just glaze over the results and wound not challenge me if I refused to take the medication for my extremely high cholesterol. I have seen him for such a varied list of problems whether it was a sore throat/bronchitis, back pain/pinched nerve or even if I felt sad or depressed he never gets it wrong. I am so impressed and blessed that he is my private/concierge doctor that i can use with my regular insurance, which btw is not amazing

As someone with a long medical history, I’ve encountered some really bad doctors, some decent ones, and very few amazing ones. Dr. Pilip is hands down one of the amazing doctors. He’s extremely knowledgeable, takes the time to listen to your concerns, and explains everything to you in a respectful yet casual manner (not like other doctors that will speak down to a patient as if they understand nothing, pretentious etc). Even as a walk-in, I’ve never waited more than 30-45 minutes, and that’s on a busy day. I recommend Dr. Pilip to any of my friends and family in the area that are looking for a good doctor.
