Dr. Adam D Balkany, DO

Dr.Balkany is an excellent Doctor. However he is working under the confines of Swedish Medical Group and that's a real problem. Swedish Medical Group has decided to discriminate against Medical Marijuana users in their Pain Management Clinics despite CDC warnings about patient abandonment. Dr. Balkany was replaced by Dr. Lee to facilitate the removal of Medical Marijuana patients since Dr. Balkany has no problem with them. but Swedish Medical Group does. Beware of this discriminatory policy instituted by Swedish in their Pain Management Clinics across the entire organization.

I was having terrible hip pain and it was affecting my back. After Dr. Balkany did some needling (sort of like acupuncture) I have been pain free for at least three months. I was so happy I sent my husband when he threw out his back playing basketball

I have been dealing with a chronic on going abdominal pain. Dr. Balkany takes time to really get to know the patient as well as the case background. He has followed up after hours when emergencies have occurred and treats his oatients with care and respect. By far, thus is the best doctor I have ever had. I cannot reccomend him highly enough.

My son had intense abdominal pain and vomiting for five months. After numerous doctors, tests and hospitalizations, we found Dr. Schneier and Dr. Balkany who worked together to cure his pain and vomiting. Dr. Balkany even called me in the middle of the night to check on my son during a hospitalization. I am so thankful to Dr. Balkany and his staff for helping my son!

I am so angry and frustrated. The first time a referral was sent, I waited a couple of weeks and called. It's under review, don't call us, we'll call you. After 4 weeks, It was oh, we never got the referral. A second referral was sent. After another month same response. Third referral was sent. My doctors office calls to confirm they received it. Its under review, its under review. I called yesterday and the woman says we don't have a referral. I don't know if its because I have dshs and he doesn't want to see dshs patients any more, but I have been treated like chopped liver.

If you are having serious pain, this Doctor is a good place to go. I am a relative recent patient. He really listens to you and I believe he truly cares about people. I like that he uses as minimal amount of meds as is reasonable. I hate my pain, but I don't want to be overly fuzzy. So far, I am very happy with this Doctor.

My experience with Dr Balkany and his office staff can only be described in one word - FANTASTIC! The staff is great. The doctor took his time, listened, looked into all posibilities and came up with a perfect plan of attack for my pain. I am happy to say I have found a doctor that not only cares, but has an office staff that also care about their patients.

I hate being in pain, but liked the treatment ideas he presented. I ended up trying the more conservative of the options he gave and they seem to be working.

I was skeptical that anything short of surgery would help my back, but after visiting Dr. Balkany I was so much better and I didn't need surgery. He was excellent and I recommend him highly.
