1- put me on two different medication’s. That should’ve never been combined together. It took my pharmacist after taking it for about a month to bring it to my attention. 2- while seeing Adam Barens for about five years about three of those years I would always complain of severe abdominal pain. He never felt around, never checked and contributed it to IBS and eventually I ended up with severe pain and had to go to the ER they got me in with a General Surgeon when I went to see him. He had me do the sit up test and he could literally feel a hard ball told me he suspected a hernia sent me in for a STAT ultrasound, and good enough. I had two hernias went to surgery ASAP. 3-another issue. I went to see Adam and told him that my legs lower legs were hurting would be swollen at the end of the day and I believe it had to do with my varicose veins. He told me no they were fine and that no doctor would do anything about it. Well, I did not need a referral with my insurance to see any other… doctor so I scheduled my own come to find out. I was diagnosed with chronic vein insufficiency, and underwent five procedures Radioactive Endovenous Ablation and fix me up and still have a couple more coming up, but my legs are already feeling better. 4- then he was going to put me on GLP1for Chronic sleep apnea so he sent it in but it needed a prior authorization and it was taking forever for him to do it so like 3 wks later I decided to follow up with the office why the prior authorization wasn’t done and at that point he told me that the office is not doing those anymore unless it was for Diabetics only which is a lie I work with PCP’s and that would never happen all PCP’s do it for multiple reasons. Then about 2weeks later I received a letter from Adams office stating that he would no longer care for me so bottom line he fired me from the office and no reason why cause I did follow up on that as well and they had no good reason other then I needed to be with a larger medical group. And the office manager Kathy is the worst she is crass and very rude, I have been in the medical field for about 40 yrs and have never dealt with such a rude person and incompetent office. I have now found a new PCP and very happy with the care I get there, so it was a blessing in disguise Adam fired me.
