As a chronic pain patient he did not coordinate with my pain dr prior to surgery on my neck as he had promised. Due in part to this my surgery was excruciatingly painful and this affected my recovery. While every one in the office is nice to your face, when I came in after my surgery in horrible pain no one really cared. They acted like it was no big deal or that I was being dramatic. I was not. I reported my poor pain management at the hospital to him and again was met with indifference. Will not return to this office or recommend to anyone.

Dr Cabala has shown expertise and common sense in diagnosing my back issues. He is efficient and personable, and gets to the alternatives neatly. Great job done by the him and the attending staff.

Dr Cabalo did a great job with my surgery. His team is wonderful also.

I had an excellent experience from the time I walked into the door until the time I left. Everybody was friendly, smiling and helpful. Adam Cabalo was informative, caring, and had excellent bedside manner. Nurse Johanna was very professional, caring, and enjoyable to talk to. They took great care of me. They all deserve a raise!

Dr Cabalo has been great helping with my back pain and sciatica. It’s takes awhile to get in to see him but it’s worth it. He’s understanding and listens to your concerns. Highly recommend!

I’m 65 suffering from 8 of 10 sciatic pain when I first saw Dr Cabala in November 2025. He diagnosed sciatica at the time through X-ray but said it couldn’t be treated until he saw the MRI. MRi was complete a month later as the pain was becoming debilitating. Cabala could not see me until the end of January. Even though the MRI was conclusive and he added nothing to the analysis he would not recommend treatment until an in person visit. I begged for relief through MyHealth and he never personally answered. I asked For PT but got no answer. The consult was 10 minutes, he was defensive about not treating me and referred me for treatment. Result - a 65 year old male was unable to exercise for close to 60 days loosing muscle mass, flexibility but more importantly 9 of 10 pain everyday for 60 days after the diagnosis was confirmed without even an attempt to address my needs. Now I’m restarting my exercise routine with added risk of injury. For older people layoffs are really risky this… was inexcusable. If he knew he couldn’t or didn’t want to treat me he should have referred me to a neurologist. His lack of compassion for my pain disqualifies him for elderly care you need to find another Dr for your practice.

I have total confidence in his surgical abilities and while in our consultation he was very tentative to my concerns and took time to put me at ease, explaining everything thoroughly. Southern Oregon Orthopedics is very fortunate to have someone who exemplifies their mission statement. I would highly recommend him!!

Cabalo really takes the time to explain issues and options. He listens to me and I always feel validated leaving his office.

I was promptly seen, even before I completed new patient paperwork. Polite introduction but had to leave to get info on xray and MRIs id had in prep for visit. Entire time was barely 5 min and referred for steroid injections. I'm sure he spends more time with surgical patients. :(
