Dr. Adam Seth Cifu, MD

I have been going to the University of Chicago since 1966 and I think it's the best hospital in Illinois. In 1997 I needed a Primary Care Physician and one that had experience with Pulmonary disease, because I am asthmatic. I called the University of Chicago and they assigned me to Dr. Cifu and we have been have had a patient/doctor relationship ever since. In 2011 I became very ill with gallbladder disease and had to be hospitalized almost two months, with a follow-up surgery after about seven months. Dr. Cifu was my advocate, my cheerleader, etc., during this time, because it took seven months for my body to heal enough to have surgery, due to me being malnourished and wasn't able to keep food down. While I was hospitalized Dr. Cifu was in contact with the team of doctors responsible for my care. He visited me in my hospital room at least twice weekly. He's kind, caring, compassionate, smart and the best doctor, EVER. He has an awesome bedside manner, as well. He has… written a book that I am familiar with, if not MANY others. I just can't say enough good things about him. There are many other examples I could give you about how great this doctor is, but I'll stop here. He also teaches at the Medical School and everyone that knows him hold him in high esteem. Anyone that has him as a doctor is fortunate, but I feel personally, it is a blessing that Dr. Adam Cifu is my PCP. God Bless him!
