Dr. Frome graduated from the University of Miami Honors Program with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Philosophy. He then moved to Houston, Texas where he studied Public Health and subsequently went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and was selected to serve as Chief Medical Resident at the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center. He continued his training at Baylor College of Medicine with a fellowship in Nephrology and was selected to serve as the Chief Fellow. His practice of medicine is dedicated to education and understanding and allows his patients to make well guided health care decisions.

My mom was quite sick and needed the attention of multiple doctors. It seemed that all the doctors had pegged my mom as hopeless and as such treated her and us like they couldn't help or worse, that they didn't care, except for Dr. Frome. He related to us on a human level. He knew about my mom's condition (amyloidosis) and not just the part that affected the kidneys. He really gets the big picture, unlike so many specialists who can't see past their one part. I'm trying to use this to explain why even 1.5 years later we still are impressed with Dr. Frome, and not just using it to compare him to (useless, rude, pointless, careless) doctors, but I guess I'm still bitter! Dr. Frome is the perfect combination of expert and human-hard to come by. Thank you.

Dr Frome visited me while I was in the hospital and was taking calls while his partner (my Doctor). He was GREAT, answered all questions, took time, listened well, patient and very caring. He's also very personable. If you are looking for a Nephrology Specialist in North Houston.....THIS IS YOUR GUY.

We've never had to see Dr Frome in the office. Since the wife is on dialysis, Dr Frome or Basford always come by the dialysis center. Very patient and willing to listen to your issues and work with you. We can't recommend him highly enough

Doctor A. Frome MD. :: A very knowledgeable doctor whom explains to you in laymen's terms your problem, so when you leave the office you understand what has been explained to you. Very likable and easy to talk to.

For the last several years along with renal failure I have had numerous other health issues. Dr. Frome has always been encouraging and compassionate. He is extremely compentent and has been an amazing blessing to me and my family. He really is the BEST kidney Dr.!!! We Love u Dr. Frome. :))
