Dr. Adam Wesley Green, MD

I had been seeing Dr. Green for over 2 years for lower back pain. Today (2 years later) and after he has been paid close to $15,000 for performing procedures during that time I am in the same pain I saw him for in the first place. I was always treated with courtesy however. He doesn't have much of a bedside manner which is fine by with me if I received treatments that alleviated or lessened the pain. In closing Dr. Green may be helping some of his other patience because he is very busy and getting appointments are normally far out. After procedures the follow up appointments are never with Dr. Green but with one of his nurses or assistants.

He didn't greet us when he came in, sat at the computer and didn't look at us. I tried to give him the imaging we were told to bring and he wouldn't even look at it. He discounted my son's diagnosis suggesting he get a second opinion (we already have 4 medical professionals that agree on the diagnosis), and said he would absolutely not prescribe anything for my son's headaches. He suggested therapy. My son is already in therapy to deal with having a chronic painful condition at such a young age and the frustration of having a condition that for 6 years no one could diagnose. Now he will be processing the lack of empathy of some physicians and having to deal with the pain with no help.

There needs to be a zero star option. Dr. Green has absolutely zero empathy or compassion. He argued with me over my diagnosis, which has been confirmed through extensive imaging by a neurosurgeon, two orthopedic surgeons, and a specialized upper cervical chiropractor — four different doctors. I’ve been all the way to Johns Hopkins (three times), and Dr. Green had the audacity to question Johns Hopkins! I’ve been living with severe chronic pain for over 6 years, and am on the verge of being bed-ridden and disabled. Some days I can’t even be upright for more than a few minutes, due to the extreme pain I experience, from all the pressure / compression my brain stem is being subjected to. Currently in treatment doing stem cell / platelet rich plasma therapy, but if these fail, I will have to get cervical fusion neck surgery. In the meantime, my neurosurgeon suggested that Dr. Green prescribe something I could take on an as needed basis — just on the days where the pain threshold is too… much to handle; something I could take to help get me thru the work day. Dr. Green not only argued with me about my diagnosis (he went on and on about stuff that’s way out of his area of expertise, and it was clear he had no idea what he was talking about), but he also refused to prescribe anything, outside of the medications that I’ve already tried, which have not helped. I’m absolutely baffled and stunned that the local medical system is so broken, that a person who has endured as many years of extreme pain as I have, would be turned away. I can’t help but wonder, according to Dr. Green, if I don’t “qualify” — then who in the world would? Makes me feel sad for anyone else who may also be turned away, after experiencing as much pain and hardship. There’s no telling how many people Dr. Green has turned away. There is absolutely no way this man actually cares about any of his patients, or how much pain they're in. Dr. Green is an absolute and utter disgrace to the profession, and should be completely ashamed of himself. Don’t waste your time here, save yourself the disappointment, and go ahead and look elsewhere.

I asked my Mercy GP for pain management referral since I’ve been seeing a doctor in another medical group. Dr Green was who I ended up seeing, and I couldn’t be more pleased. He carefully read through my previous doctor’s notes, he actually listened to me, and he listened to me and heard my concerns. I feel very comfortable with Dr Green’s proposed treatment plan.

Dr. Green is not a true pain management Dr. I wish I could recommend him but I can’t. He has a good personality but I don’t feel he has listened to me as an individual rather as a class or group. He is knowledgeable but he does not spend the time needed to really actually listen. His nurse Amanda, I had to see her on my 2nd visit and she has issues. She’s very hateful and had zero respect for you. I was scheduled to see her for a follow up and called to reschedule to see Dr Green and told him not to ever schedule me again with her. She is the absolute worse person that needs to be treating people that are in severe pain. I told Dr Green our personalities clashed and I didn’t want to get into it out of respect as to her actions. I have cancelled my follow ups with him and my PCP is going to continue my treatment plans. I wish I could leave a bette review but something needs to be done here.

After injection and in more pain than before he now says take Tylenol and aleve. Also Amanda at his office makes you feel like your opinion doesn't matter now I am in more pain he gave up on me. I don't think he is a true pain Dr.

I was uneasy w/my upcoming appt w/Green after seeing these 2 pretty negative reviews & I actually almost cancelled my appt altogether, but I'm so glad I didn't. He's the 1st Dr that didn't try to push medications down my throat & he's the 1st Dr that actually read thru & discusssed w/me that entire packet of medical information that u have to fill out for your 1st time appt. He was absolutely wonderful. I never felt rushed, he did a thorough exam, & he really listened to everything I had to say. He ordered MRI's for me that I couldn't get any other Doctor to order & thanks to him I am now 12 days post brain surgery..after 3yrs of every specialist possible not listening to me. In fact, when my pain became unbearable from this major brain surgery & w/my neurosurgeon being in Little Rock, Dr. Green was so wonderful in getting me in as soon as possible to evaluate me & assist w/my pain management. As far as his staff, his nurse is absolutely wonderful! She is super sweet, happy, inviting,… & 1 of the nicest nurses I've met to date. Actually, there is not 1 person in that entire place that I could even say 1 negative thing about. Dr. Adam Green is a very responsible, respectful, & knowledgable Doctor & Mercy should feel very proud to have him on their team.

I saw Dr. Green and he was very rude and cold to me and did not seem to listen to a word that I said. He kept pushing on my back and said, "Is this where the pain hurts?" as if he did not have a clue with where the pain was or whether I was in any pain at all. His assistant was equally as rude and she said we dead with "bad patients every day and we get rid of them because one thing we won't tolerate here is rude patients." What about rude physicians who treat you like you should be shot to put you out of your misery or not even read your medical reports to find out what is your condition? I am with a more caring pain management doctor now, that puts Dr. Green and his methods to shame.

I would just like to write a synopsis, while it is fresh in my mind of the embarrassing, belittling, shocking, and confusing traits that encompassed my visit with Dr. Adam Green, Pain Management doctor with Mercy Medical, and how he is NOT someone that I would recommend seeing to anyone needing treatment for chronic back pain, or any other ailment for that matter! I do also want to state the Adam Green, M.D. is NOT a true representation of what medical professionals should be recognized as, for he has set the bar very low for any medical professional charged with the care of a patient and their needs. He, Adam Green, M.D., has cast a negative reflection on Mercy Pain Clinic, which is not fair to the facility he is working for, as the front office staff and nurse was very kind and helpful during my visit, but ultimately he, Dr. Green, is the face of the clinic and if there is any air of arrogance or superiority in a doctorâ??s demeanor people feel it, and this time it was palpable for… me when Dr. Green entered the room. If someone going to see Dr. Green, was to have no prior experience with the other great medical professionals within the Mercy network, I do not think I would be make assumption to state, the patient would not want to waste their time or money on another visit with this man! If you leave a doctorâ??s office feeling bad, ashamed, and wondering if you have made up all these health issues and symptoms factiously because an â??untouchableâ?? doctor says so, there is something wrong! Adam Green M.D., in my opinion, exposed me to a side of the medical profession I have not seen before, and it wounded me to think for those few minutes after the visit, that in his words my condition was â??by the way your scoliosis is not that badâ?? and you just need to stretch and your back pain will diminish. Unless someone or anyone for that matter; Doctor, nurse, chiropractor, or other medical professional has walked a mile in your shoesâ?¦..then NO ONE can tell you WHAT you FEEL, including Dr. Adam Green!
