Dr. Kopelan has treated our entire family over the years--both surgically and clinically. He is highly respected by his peers and, just as importantly, valued and appreciated by his patients. He is a family man who treats his patients with the same care and sensitivity as he would his own. Chief surgeon at a great Hospital--Beth Israel in Newark,NJ., and deservedly so. Five stars are not enough ! Vito and Kimberly Nufrio and entire family.

Dr. Kopelan and his staff are simply amazing. I contacted his office regarding a health and insurance related issue for my sister. I spoke to his staff person Carol she listened diligently to my concerns and promised to get back to me that evening or first thing in the morning. Needless to say Carol contacted me the next morning and advised me of Dr. Kopelan's response and asked that I get her in that afternoon. Upon arrival to check in, we met Carol and THANKED her for her assistance. We met with Dr. Kopelan and THANKED him also since most physicans WILL NOT see patients without all insurances in place. DR. KOPELAN'S response was it's about my patient's care first and foremost. With that being said there should be more physicians that remember the OATH that they took: TO FIRST DO NO HARM!!! DR. KOPELAN YOU AND YOU STAFF ARE A CLASS ACT!!! ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU FROM THE DEPTH OF OUR HEARTS.??????

Dr. Kopelan performed neck surgery to remove malignant lymph nodes and besides the fact the surgery was a complete success and he was so caring and informative throughout the process, he left my neck looking wonderful. As a woman, that was important to me. The scar is barely visible. Very, Very skillful surgeon.

I had surgery preformed by Dr. Kopelan on Saturday, May 30th. I had 10 inches of small intestine removed plus multiple adhesions. His minimally invasive surgery left 3 small scars, the largest no greater than the diameter of a quarter. For a 70-year-old like myself and my recovery time, it was astounding. I came home yesterday afternoon at my request. I have had through a number of doctors since 2002 when I had acute kidney failure. This is my first review. He's a good doctor in everything that means ... one of the best I have had. And -- again -- at 70, I do not go under anesthesia with just anybody, especially whn I have a choice.

Dr. Kopelan performed complicated bowel reconstruction surgery on me and treated me with excellent care pre and post surgery.

My wife was pregnant with our 3rd child and she was experiencing pain in her lower back. Doctor diagnosed her with a pilonidal cyst and was fast to care for it surgically. My wife and I had concerns about local anesthetic and healing as it pertained to the baby's health and delivery process(tearing and infection). But the good doctor was very informative and reassuring. We felt comfortable and confident that our baby would be fine and the open wound healed cleanly no scar and without infection. I have always attributed no scars to good scalpel technique. That is just my opinion but I am sure there is some truth to it. I recommend this doctor.
