Dr. Adam John Opbroek, MD

Bad. He makes you feel worse than better. He judges you and makes you feel worthless. Tried to cut my medicine after 3 weeks out of hospital and I told him the meds are helping. Don’t see him unless you want to feel horrible.

Time, all he did was give a thing most people are completely unaware of to begin with. He did not force me to beat him out of my head. He never tried to restrain me in any way. Years ago something happened in my head and its not even gone yet, he could very well try and crawl his way into my head at any time. I can't just sit here and blame him because I with words asked for the "headach". "That was WHEN things went wrong."

I wrote a comment earlier stating basically what a piece of trash this doctor is. I still think this doctor is trash. In that respect, my opinion has not changed. As I spoke to the child I went into the appointment with, this child tells me that he seems pretty nice. That he listens to this child. For that, I am truly grateful. But on a personal level, I still believe that in general, he is 2 faced and only want to put children on medication. As long as he is doing a good job with this child will everything be ok. But one slip up? So, for the sake of the children and their well being both mentally and physically this doctor should listen MORE instead of DRUGGING more

Initially liked him. He was respectful. Then, after a really bad reaction to a med, said "I think you need to be in an institution. You're not able to take care of yourself in the world." The rage was unsettling. No apology. I am in engineering grad school and working. Degrading beyond reason. It unsettled me to think my disease was so far gone that my life was over. Now he scoffs at anything I say in appts and checks his phone in the middle of appointments. As if I'm too stupid to see. Still no solid grounding on meds. I'm a worthless mentally ill person who is just a paycheck, not a human.

He tells you one thing and tells people something totally different. He ruined my life by breaking his word. What you tell him is not private. He won't even tell me what I supposedly have done to warrant such 2 faced-ness. I have asked for a reason and he is gutless in his lack of response. It wasn't my appt. but he still broke trust, I was in appt. and he then turned around and messed up my words when he asked ME a question. I would not recommend any person to go see him.

Dr. Opbroek has been great and he listens and is direct and upfront about everything which is helpful. I have had great results with my medication and am a much more productive worker due to it!

Dr. Opbroek is a very intelligent and educated man. He seems to really listen to what your saying. I was given options in my treatment plan. Everything was explained and it was my decision. It made me feel more in control. It took about a month of weekly visits to get the right medications for me. It was worth it. I didn't feel great because the medicine wasn't fully functioning but I wasn't crying day and night. I really do appreciate his skill in diagnosing and treating me. I felt uncomfortable with his staff. They weren't rude just brusque. If I were to critique Dr. Opbroek I think he should make more frequent eye contact. It would have made me feel less anxious at the beginning.

Great at what he does. And most are lucky to find him. With that said if he combined medical treatment with more counseling he'd better understand the behavior and know no one is going to tell him true things going on in just 15 minutes.

Dr. Opbroek is a caring psychiatrist and I highly recommend him

Dr opbroek is a great psychiatrist he really helped me during a rough time. He is strict but in a helpful way does not load you up with meds. He is always on time love that he does not tun late and his assistant is amazing she always gets me in to see him always helpful.
