Dr. Adam D Simmons, MD

Dr. Simmons has cared for my father for the past several years. He has been expert at managing the very complex mix of medications my father has for Parkinson's with potential interactions with his other meds. He is very personable, and his office staff is well organized.

After 2 years of treatment for Parkinson's my mother got the same questions asked at every office visit even though she was declining in health. The recommendations were not appropriate for my mother's advance stage of the disease, in fact Dr. Simmon's never even mentioned dementia. We ultimately switched doctors after 2 years but it was too late, mom passed a month later. We put our faith in in because he established the Center for movement disorders but the care was not tailored to individual, very generic approach. Dr. Simmons is better suited for academia than caring for patients, look elsewhere.

Dr was condescending, judgmental and impersonal

One of the best practitioners I've consulted, and incredibly helpful treatment especially with my migraines. I was very disappointed to learn he's no longer at UConn.

My mother loves him - what more could I ask?
