Really patients, get a grip. This surgeon is of consummate skill, if you find that a bit off putting and you find yourself "waiting" to see him it is worth the wait. Surgeons of this skill level are few and far between and think "professional sports" one in thousands chosen for their rare ability, now think surgery. You have the same thing. I have seen over 250 surgeons operate and it is just like golf, less than 2% of golfers can hit par and it is no different with surgery. This surgeon has outstanding skill, and when you are getting eye surgery that's all that really counts!

It did take a long time to get an appointment with Dr Side as a new patient but once established my experience has been exceptional. Dr Side is part of a large practice of eye care Dr. There are always a lot of patients in the waiting room. I was referred to Dr Side both by my primary care Dr and my Optometrist for a dry eye vision problem. Dr Side performed the needed procedure and I was awake and comfortable the whole time. The follow-up with Dr Sise was complete and timely. I will definitely go to Dr Side for my upcoming cataract surgery. This is a busy practice because the D doctors are the best in the area for complicated eye procedures.

Very bad experience, surgery began before sedation was effective, wide awake and talking (panicking really) as procedure commenced. Operation had to be halted and sedation then administered. It was extremely upsetting and I'm still unable to talk about it without tears. (Note, I'm not squeamish ... it was my 4th eye surgery.) Eyecare Medical Group operates like a factory and sometimes they move too quickly. Be careful -

Rude and dismissive. Doesn't care. Stay away.

Wonderful process all the way through. Dr SIse is extremely knowledgeable as well comforting and encouraging. His staff is warm and friendly yet very professional. I am having the second eye done and have no qualms at all.

Amazing!!!! We are so blessed to have someone new to the Portland area with his expertise! He gave my dad a new lease on life. He is calm and thorough and just so respectful!
