Dr. Adam James Woods, MD

Dr. Woods is knowledgable and kind with a sense of humor that makes seeing a psychiatrist much more comfortable. I don't know what happened to the person who said he doesn't get to know you, but that is NOT our experiences. Dr. Woods spent lots of time getting to know the entire family, not just our son. Go and see him. You'll be glad you did.

COVID has been stressful, but Dr. Woods has really opened his practice to video and phone consultations and been super flexible. Meds get to the pharmacy right away so I can pick them up for me and my kids that same day. So blessed to have this doctor. Thank God!

I have always struggled with sleep and other "experts" have not helped me. Dr. Woods and I started working on anxiety, but he quickly got me to work on my sleep without drugs and it was amazing! I can't believe how great I feel now that I am sleeping well. Go see him if you have sleep issues!

Dr. Woods practices in psychiatry, but he is really a whole body doctor who focuses on diet and lifestyle. He is a plant-based physician and I lost SO much weight (and gained amazing health benefits) by following his recommendations. I swore I'd never go plant-based, but I felt so terrible I gave it a shot. I'll never go back!

Dr. Woods is unlike any psychiatrist I've ever seen. He spent a lot of time talking about diet, exercise, sleep, meditation, and doing therapy before medication. This is just what I wanted and loved the whole body approach, rather than feeling like he was pushing drugs.

Dr. Woods is amazing with our kids. He is funny and makes them feel better about having to be treated. Dr. Woods talks to them directly and then does a good job explaining the medical side to us in a way we can all understand. I can't imagine a better child doctor.

Dr. Woods sees our kids and both of the adults in our family as well. He is fantastic and we all love him! He is generous with his time and you can tell he really loves working with the kids. You can always call his office and he is very good about getting back to us. If you are having any doubts, go and meet him and you'll be sold like we are!

Dr. Woods is very compassionate and knows what he is talking about. I have no idea what these other reviewers are talking about with respect to rushing. That is not our experience - mine or my children (we all see him). He always takes lots of time and we know we can call him with any questions. The best we've ever experienced and highly recommended!!!

Will not be going back. Dr. Woods was in a rush throughout the appointment. He seemed over anxious and kept repeating himself.

I had not seen a psychiatrist before him so I did not know what to expect. However, after going to others I realize how he does not take the time to learn about your past as he probably should and unfortunately had a very bad reaction to one that could have been prevented.
