Dr. Adaora Ifeyinwa Osakwe, MD

in new emergency room in ellijay. disastrous service, do not recommend this place if she is there. worse bedside matter ever, not the moment to be sarcastic when asked real questions regarding emergency eye care. no empathy, did not introduced herself, did not address me like a patient. probably she was in a bad mood, or eager to go back home to the city.

I recently visited Piedmont East ER while experiencing chest pains. After being triaged and explaining my recent history to nursing staff, I remained calm during my entire visit, acutely aware and can communicated my medical history and treated all staff with courtesy. As Dr. Osakwe engaged me on my situation. I was astonished at her incredible lack of empathy, the disbelief she demonstrated in listening to my concerns and the sarcasm used to question my intentions for visiting the ER. While I can understand what ER physicians may encounter, I would expect that they’d treat patients with common decency and respect. This was NOT my experience with Dr. Osakwe.

I saw Dr. Osakwe at MedLife Urgent Care today. She was very knowledgeable, kind, patient, and caring. I am extremely pleased and very grateful for her medical care. I definitely appreciate and greatly satisfied with her care. I will tell my colleagues and family members how I met a wonderful an awesome doctor who respects and understands the definition of good patient care. Thank you so much, Dr. Osakwe.

Dr. Osakwe never asked me about my health background, drugs that I take, or if I'd had a Migraine like the one I was having (ALL STANDARD QUESTIONS). She quite literally snapped at me once when she did not like my answer, and tried to release me without treatment. I'm appalled.

Met her at ER for high blood pressure. I tried to tell her that my BP was due to sodium intake and that I need hydrochlorothiade, she got angry and said "Sir..." She gave me 5mg of Norvasc which was useless and later doubled to 10mg by my doctor.
