Dr. Adarsh Kumar Gupta, MD

7/14/23 Dr. Gupta is a superb physician. He is a compassionate doctor, thorough and exacting in his examinations and creative in his diagnoses. Because of his joint expertise in psychiatry and sleep medicine, he was able to unearth a way to very significantly enhance my energy levels. Horrible experience. STAY AWAY.

A textbook case of why psychiatrists need some training in therapy. More interested in up-sell of sleep tests, equipment, and medicine. A disgustingly small amount of empathy. It's good to see from the shared stories in the bad reviews here that my experience with him is not an isolated incident.

I was a patient in this office for approximately 8 months. I had many problems with the secretary who was very incompetent with her job. Due to the covid I was not aware they were doing online appointments because there office did not educate their patients regarding this matter. My pharmacy called them 7 times for a refill and he refused to fill it. I called and complained to the secretary she accused me of screaming and cursing her out. Dr. then proceeded to call a outside family member regarding my phone call to the secretary. This is a major hipaa violation and he cannot be trusted. 5 days with out a antidepressant made me very sick. He is a terrible person he refused to even apologize for what he did and insisted I apologize to his secretary for her incompetence.

I am a psychologist. Dr. Gupta is still at the top of my list of recommended psychiatrists. I first became acquainted with him when he was recommended to us by the head of the LIJ Stroke Service. This was for an elderly relative with a complicated medical and emotional profile.

Dr Gupta is a kind dr who listens and helps his patients until they are better ! I am so glad I found him !

Dr. Adarsh K Gupta is running a sleep clinic in the same office as his psychiatry practice. I would not have noticed this odd fact but during my two visits he seemed more concerned about signing me up for his sleep services then helping me with my medical needs. I found this frustrating and unprofessional. I am looking for a new therapist as a result.

He explains the medications really well. He's a calm and very sincere psychiatrist. He will get you feeling better

Brilliant. Took my elderly parents to see him; he diffused a difficult situation with warm accepting humor. My father was the type who would never see a psychiatrist, but was able to relax and appreciate the help. I've referred many patients to him since then. I once sent a patient to him for a second opinion; I was concerned about the number of medications the patient was taking...all without any relief. The situation was resolved on both counts. He is one of two psychiatrists at the top of my referral list. And yes, there have been a handful of times during the years, when I sent myself to see him.
